  • News Disneyland AP Backstage Pass released for 2012

Looks like they have adapted the calendar format for the backstage pass now. It features a new poster for World of Color (I like it!) for one of its calendar arts.

So far it indicates that ElecTRONica should be coming to a close around April 2012. This only goes to May 2012 though so its extremely likley that the Summer issue will be heavily focused on DCA.

The merch discounts have been extended (again) for Socal, Socal Select and Deluxe APers until May 31st.

Hmmm...it took Disney that long for them to make a AP Backstage Pass?

At least it's good to hear to they're making one.

I like the fact that I buy 4 Deluxe passes, and they make this sound like a big deal. It's usually stuff I already know, and most of the time I never get it anyway! That's that $1436 at work!

Since I tend to NOT get my backstage pass in the mail, I'm wondering if I can still pick up a copy at the park. Anybody know if this is still something that is done now that the AP processing centers are closed?

It used to be uploaded to the annual pass website. I just looked and didn't see it, so maybe it will take a month or so to load!

Forgive my ignorance (one would think a person with a premo pass would know better...), but what is the Back Stage Pass? How does it work? How much extra is it?

It's just a newsletter that is sent out to passholders, so it is not an extra charge but included with your annual pass purchase. It contains various articles and information on upcoming events, but to be honest, if you stick to what is posted on MiceChat you don't really need it.

It is a publication for Annual Passholders. Sort of quarterly magazine to let us know what is happening in the parks and promote AP offers.

I haven't received a Backstage Pass newsletter in over 2 years. That Family Fun magazine seems to find it's way to my doorstep though. I really wish the Backstage Pass was more dependable as I would love to receive it. However, up until recently I would stop in to the AP processing center and grab one. Not sure where to get one now. I always enjoyed the artwork.

                      True

and I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one who never got it half the time.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

I believe the mailing of the physical pass was opt-in. When we renewed our passes, they asked if we wanted the Backstage Pass mailed to us, which we declined.

Same here, I received the Monitor but no Backstage Pass.
