  • [Question] HELP! June 13-15th DCA

My boyfriend and I booked a trip to the Disneyland Resort for June 13th through the 15th for this year. I just read the latest on the construction progress for California Adventure and found out the press day is the 14th and opening the 15th. We do not have a park ticket for the 15th, just the 13th and 14th but we're wondering if we'll even get to go to DCA on the 13th. Not that it would be the end of the world if we had to spend the entire trip in Disneyland alone but we did pay for a park hopper so we'd like to hop.

It was stupid on my part to book so far in advance but I didn't think it would open this fast.

We're considering moving our reservation, does anyone know how to do this with the Disney people? We booked the hotel and tickets through the website.

    Thanks.

If you booked through Disney's Website you can call the hotel and see about changing.

    from the website:
For help with Hotel Only Reservations Send us your question aside from credit card transactions, we can handle most inquiries via e-mail and we'll get back to you within 24 hours or call (714) 520-5045† from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST daily.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

There is a chance that if you go in on the 13th, you may get the last of the "soft" openings before the media event the next day. They may, however, be limited to annual passholders.

Do you think the whole park would be closed on the 13th?

It's not stupid to book so early in advance. That's what I do. You get the best hotel rates that way. Then again, I booked the third week of June just in case Carland took a week or two to open. The whole park shouldn't be closed on the 13th. Good luck to you!

I know Al said that they were planning on having the whole park closed the day before the media day so they could make sure it was extra clean and fix anything that needed a little more attention. My guess is that the 13th (my birthday!) will be closed. However, the dates are not set in stone and something as simple as a week of lots of rain could postpone the opening dates.

OK, thanks so much everyone. I didn't want to move it until I knew for sure so we'll probably wait a little longer and see what happens.

I believe on the 13th theyre planning to close to whole park! To have one day to freshen up the whole park jsut like they did for Dsineylands 50th! If I were you between the closing and edia events n big grand opening I'd reschedule for the week after or anytime after the 15th!

Well I hope they don't move it to where we're moving the trip.
