have you ever been standing in line in a railed queue like autopia or haunted mansion and looked down between knee and hip hieght??? if you look around long enough you notice the first one, a small child aged 3-5 who enjoys the TASTE of the metal railing. In horror you begin to look around and spot another and another. Is it just me observing these small rail lickers or is it some bad side effect from a daylong diet of corndogs and churros???

Maybe it's a mineral deficiency .... I've heard that pregnant women in some cultures eat dirt to supplement their diet .... It's supposedly an uncontrollable urge where you body knows what it needs and you get the urge to eat dirt ... or lick a railing ....."She's taking everything. She's taking the house, she's taking the kid, she's taking the dog. IT'S NOT EVEN HER DOG. IT'S MY DOG! SHE'S TAKING . . . MY DOG!"

I worked with a woman who was from Georgia and I asked her about it and she freely admitted that her family had done it for as long as she can remember. She had just recently paid a visit there and said she had to have a bite.

And to think, you've held on to these slobber ridden rails during the whole line que. Thank goodness for antibacterial cleanser!
(I also occassionaly have the urge to eat a rock)Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

"I used to chew up rocks, and spit out gravel..."
I've seen this too, and it's quite disturbing. And it's eerie how much many metals taste like blood. Maybe these kids have latent Vampiric tendencies...Last edited by Reaver; 03-10-2005, 09:08 AM.Honor those who fall under the sword.

Ewww...I haven't seen that. And I am certain my mother would never have let me do that!!! I usually notice the kids who think the railings are swings or jump ropes and their parents don't seem to mind. I'll start keeping my eye openMy mind won't rest
and I don't sleep
Not even in my dreams...
