  • [Question] Matterhorn: Have they started testing with people yet?

I've seen the Matterhorn Bobsleds testing with sand bags, but does anyone know if or when they will start using people as they test it? With 18 days or so left I just wonder when they switch to live riders, cast members, etc., or maybe they are doing that after hours? I would think someone must have gone for a test trip by now.

Here's a video of the load station and waterfalls from the Monorail.

And riding the FL side on the final day of the old sleds (It's dark the first part, you know, just like the ride!)

I saw one picture somewhere, can't recall, of people riding last week or maybe the week before. I'm not sure who they were. They were dressed nice so maybe WDI or management.

We're going to be there the week before it opens. Think there is any chance for a soft opening the 12th-14th?

Haven't follow this topic too much but are the bobsleds the same size with 3 singles instead of 2 possible doubles?

3 singles per sled, but 2 sleds attached like before, so if you have a group of 5 or 6 you can all ride together. The new configuration is going to allow for a Single Rider line option now because if you have a party of 5, that leaves one empty seat! I'm thinking it will be a combination single rider/handicaped line, but don't know that for sure, that's just how they do it on Indy. I'll be there this Sunday to check out the progress!

Anyone know if the seats will allow for a double if one is a small child?

                  No, one person per seat.

They look like they recline back a lot... more than previous sleds. Will the rider be in a more reclining position?
