  • [Question] Food for a Veggie at the park!

I'm a vegetarian, and was reading some threads about good food to check out at DL, but many were
meat items... I kind of stick to my regulars at the park like salad or pizza etc, but don't know of a lot of
    other veggie stuff.. Suggestions?

If you're thinking more like meals, then there's a really good broccoli and cheese soup in a bread bowl that they sell at Harbor Galley in Critter Country. That and the clam chowder are two of my favorite foods at DL, but if you don't eat fish, then obviously don't go for the clam chowder. The baked potatoes at the Troubadour Tavern in Fantasyland by PFF are also really good, and you can ask for the bacon & sour cream potato without the bacon bits! And then there are of course a billion and one veggie options for snacks all over the place.

There is a new veggie casserole at DCA at Flos V8 that uses soy sausage crumbles. It's pretty OK.

If you are concerned about eating vegan, you still should check the ingredients list available at all the Disney restaurants. Alot of their buns are not vegan, etc.

However, a good choice is the Rancho Del Zocolo next to Big Thunder Mtn. The chef there was SUPER nice and made a beautiful plate of vegan Mexican food (veggie tacos, rice, beans, chips) for us no problem.

I am also vegetarian. The vegetarian chili in a bread bowl from the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA is one of my favorite meals! I'm also pretty excited for the Veggie Tater Bake at Flo's, too!

My absolute favorite sandwich in DL is the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich at Hungry Bear Restaurant, next to Splash Mountain. 100% vegetarian (NOT vegan) and 150% awesome!
