This is my signature, there are many like it but this one is mine, without me my signature is useless, without my signature i am useless!

They had that much done in 1999? Two years before it opened it looked that complete? Anyways, holy cow I almost forgot how incredibly awful it was! I spot burger invasion lol.
Check out my Disney inspired creations.

Well, keep in mind DCA opened in February 2001. This could have been December 1999 for all we know. Perhaps someone knows the exact month it was taken.

I remember staying at Stovall's Inn on the corner of West and Katella. Before, if you stood on the 3rd floor you could see across Disneyland's parking lot and spot trams and monorails and the train station. Then toward the end of the '90s the view changed to Screamin' and Maliboomer. People were excited at the time for this new park to be built, but by the time 2001 came around...

That would have had to been very late 1999, as of may they were just getting started as you can see in the photos in this thread http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...ay-2009-a.html

I still don't get why they changed the Sun on the ferris wheel to Mickey's Face (Fun Wheel) And the Mickey Loop on screamin' to a sun. IF they were gonna be making everything become disney (orange stinger, mulholland madness, mickey's fun wheel) why not keep the original disney thing there (Mickey Head Loop).

On another note, that looks kinda cool, not for Disney Standards, but looks like a real old boardwalk.

It looks like the Fun Zone at the L.A. County Fair. Not Disney at all.

probably because they want us to forget about everything that was bad in DCA 1.0

Makes you wonder if there was ever a time an Imagineer stopped and looked at the place being constructed and shook his head in embarrassment

You MIB: Men in Black, I had to leave my time jumper at their headquarters for trying to prevent Pressler, Harris and Eisner from ever taking charge of Disney and making Marty Sklar as ceo and Tony Baxter as head of WDI.
