I usually get Vader/Hoth/Yoda/Naboo though sometimes I get Vader/Tatooine/Yoda/Naboo. Been on the ride 10+ times and never have gone to Kashyyyk, Coruscant, or the Death Star...

Here's the deal regarding randomness and probability: You're not factoring the fact that each time you re-ride, you have to go back through the queue. In other words, the ride is totally random, but the starspeeder you get on doesn't remember what your last ride was. It's already gone through 10-15 sequences (or even more) since you left, so it's very likely you can get the same sequence under those circumstances.

Now, if you sat in the same starspeeder and didn't get off and rode it 10 times in a row, aside from that being totally awesome, you would probably see a more randomized series, as you are "rolling the dice" back to back. And when you add in having 4 gates, the mathematics behind the probability of a particular scene are much more complex than a simple 1 out of 3 or 4. I don't even want to think about what that equation would look like.

However, that doesn't stop me from getting upset lol. I have yet to see Kashyyk (rode about 15 times so far) and the last 5 rides I ALWAYS got the pod race. It's getting to the point where I strain ahead to look at what planet is coming and tell myself "oh no, oh no, please don't be yellow, please don't be yellow, damn!". Its so strange, but it has ruined the ride for me much more than having the same "adventure" every flight. Oh well, literally nothing you can do about it except ride it and try to have fun (even though I've never been to Kashyyk and only been to Naboo once)

The odds of getting the same ride combinations each and every time: 50%. Either it will happen, or it won't.

As of last trip, I've officially seen every scene.

But when ever we go, we still almost always get:

Robot-Kashyyyk-random-Nabboo

I don't know but it seems that almost every time I go, I'm in another Pod race on Tatooine.

Out of all the times I've been on the ride, I've only seen Tattooine once, and the Death Star once.

Luckily when I was the Rebel Spy, we got Vader!

Darth Vader - Hoth - Yoda - Death Star/Boba Fett

My husband thinks its broken.

Ooh, jealous. I got Darth Vader only 3 or 4 times in my 25-ish rides. The rest of it was fairly random.

And although it's a random selection, it's selected by a computer and computers are more often that not really only "pseudo-random."

I was sure I had seen every scene on this since we have been on it 25 + times... and seen the same scenes several times each...

But then.... on Saturday... we get Death Star/Boba Fett. Completely new to us.

We went on Star Tours once on Wednesday and we got some (quite thrilling) scene in the snow where you almost fall off a cliff. I think we were put in the farthest to the right theater.

assuming you have gone once, the odds of getting that same sequence (same intro, first, and last dest) is 1/18. the odds of hitting that 2 consec times (for your 3rd ride) are 1/324.

But what are the odds of all that happening when my Mom is visiting and riding for the very first time and I'm trying to show her how cool the new Star Wars is.
