  • [Chat] The bitter-sweet suspense the closer we get to our next DLR vacation.

Ok, so this is my sixth time though this.. and it ain't gettin' any easier. Seattle summer is on hold due to persistance clouds, rain, and chilly temps. So I'm having difficultly keeping my mind off the months I still must traverse until I again enter Disneyland.
But it's not just the Park, the vacation, or the magic. It's the isolated and exclusive time I have with my family, uninterupted, constantly playing together.

I know as summer unfolds, and trips to the lakes, rivers and mountains will help abate the wait. But still... the closer the day gets, it's nearly unbearable.

I love it though, because it's gonna be the best *so far*, it always is, we always "take it up a notch" each additional time we visit. But now that it's all paid for, the only things left are reserving off site airport parking, packing cloths and upgrading to AP's on our first day in the park.

So ready, but time is NOT on my side.

I hear ya. It's been about 8 years since my last visit to DL and I'm having severe withdrawls. We are planning a trip out there next Memorial Day week but that's SOOO far away.

    When IS your trip, anyway?

Mine's eleven MONTHS away! Whenever you start thinking, "Gosh, is this twelve weeks EVER going to pass?!?"
Just think, "Well, Phil has to wait a YEAR!"

No, but for reals though, have a great time and PLEASE post a Trip Report when you get back!

I know how you feel. I felt exactly the same way a few months back when I booked my trip to WDW with my family. In about March, it felt like it was forever away, but now it's only four days away and I'm kinda freaking out a little bit. I've never been, so I'm really excited! Before you know it, it'll be time to board your plane, but I definitely know how much the wait sucks. x__x

We're 27 days from the beginning of our vacation and 30 from being at the DLR. Yeah... it's pretty agonizing. Home stretch though, I guess.

I know that feeling! I went twice as a kid, my last trip was 13 years ago and I've been itching to go back the whole time. I've got one month to go and I cannot WAIT!!

I know how you feel. I'm going through it right now with only 30 days to go. My crew members at work must be getting sick of me. Disneyland this, Disneyland that.

I am loving this! because when I go to Wild Waves Theme Park (in Federal Way) my friends and I have the place to ourselves.

Yeah, I've finally just stopped telling people when something reminds me of Disneyland, because although no one has told me to shut up yet, pretty much everything reminds me of Disneyland and it's got to get annoying!

As for my countdown, I've got exactly two weeks left until the first trip (although we won't be in the parks until the second day) and eight weeks left until the second (same story). So excited, I can hardly stand it! I may or may not have started packing my toiletries and choosing outfits. Ahem.

Also a PNWer, but a little farther south than you guys (southern Oregon).
