  • RSR drops.. Are they big?

Hi! I do not handle drops well, and was wondering whether RSR had any big ones. What other ride has a similar sized drop? I know I sound silly, but I'd like to know what to expect. thank you!

If we were to compare the drops to any of the other DLR attractions... I would say the bunny hops give you air time similar to what you get on Space Mountain and BTMRR. It'll certainly make you giggle ) not scream out of fear like ToT.

It depends which side of the track you end up with. If you end up on the inner track there is a bit more of a drop than on the outside track. Its hard to compare to the other rides because its really the speed of this ride which makes the drops feel different and the fact that you cannot tell when they are coming, to brace for them.

I would not consider them big by any means. Maybe somewhat similar to the California Screamin' bunny hops?

No, they are like hills on a road.

Have you driven on a freeway overpass at greater than 40MPH?

If so, that's exactly how they feel. Simple dips, not much thrill - but still fun.

LIke has been said, much like riding in a fast car. (Although in reality, slower than you'd go on the freeway.)

To put it in this perspective, I have a heart condition and have to watch what I ride. For example, California Screamin' would possibly be fatal for me. I've ridden RSR a couple of times and I'm still alive. lol. Seriously, not too much. My 7-year-old little girl not only loved it, but had no problem sitting next to a stranger, instead of me. I wouldn't worry about it.

this was what i also felt! my brother has this great fear of "thrill" rides so he avoids Screamin' at all cost, but i kind of talked him into RSR. he really enjoyed it, and during the drops i definitely felt like it was the smaller hops by the end of Screamin'. this ride isn't even that fast, and i think this ride shouldn't be missed!

Clearly you have never experienced the 405 at rush hour.

I don't do drops well, and RSR is easy on its passengers, with gentle movements. I love Screamin' except for those final ups and downs which do me in. They always have me recovering a bench for half an hour or so. RSR has no such effect on me!
