Ralph/Coke's Carsland Contest: anybody have their prizes yet??

I won two adult one day park hoppers in this contest, and was notified by email:



Did anybody win this and recieve their prize yet? Just making sure I didn't miss it :/

Always wonder why contests like that take 8-10 weeks to award the prizes. There must be one person somewhere who stuffs the envelopes and that takes about 6 weeks to do, then they mail them all out 1st Class mail and there is the addition 2 weeks or so.. But just my guess there, of course!

The redemption terms are ridiculous but let's examine it:
It's within 8 - 10 weeks AFTER the contest has ended.
I believe the contest ended May 22nd.
8 - 10 weeks from May 22nd would be July 17th - July 31st.
We're merely at June 23rd, only half way there.
The terms DO say "within," which could technically mean anytime between the contest ending and the 10th week.

It just really sucks. My girlfriend and I were really hoping to use them for 2 of her friends for her birthday next week but since we're getting them just before August at the earliest, that doesn't seem like a possibility. Guess we'll have to take them some time during Halloweentime or the Holiday season.

last time they did this contest it only took 21 days.... they are taking alot longer this time... it said 8-10 weeks also they did the same contast when world of color opened.

There is no thread I want to have disappear from the boards more than this one,
because that will mean my two Parkhoppers will have arrived!

I had to dig down to page 19 to find this thread. "Find the Contest Thread!" is the least fun computer game since. . . ?

Since they announced we won on May 16 and are using all of their available, self-imposed time limit, maybe they are doing something special like planning on having the tickets delivered at night by Mickey who will arrive at my home via a much faster, slightly louder version of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Could happen.

A cannot remember another business promising to deliver within 8-10 weeks and then actually taking nine or ten weeks. They haven't broken any promises to me, but they are so slow it's annoying. My daughter and I (AP holders) want to take our wife/mom to Disneyland!

I wrote them and they wrote back that they would respond within three business days, and tomorrow will be the third business day, not including the day they wrote me. I know I should be grateful I won and that this makes me the most embarrassing adult to be deprived of Disneyland since Nikita Khrushchev, but I'd like the slow-poke company running this contest sent to Siberia.

The contest people wrote me back and we are all supposed to get our pairs of Parkhoppers on or by July 31. I predict ON July 31 at the earliest, THEN AGAIN THEY DO USE WORD "APPROXIMATELY," which I could imagine means August 31 to them. Here's the response that will look familiar to some of you:

Per the Official Rules, you can expect to receive your prize approximately 8-10 weeks following the promotion conclusion, which was May 22, 2012. We appreciate your patience!

Greeneyes17, I still think their use of "approximately" 8-10 weeks will allow them to rationalize sending them out at the end August. :evil: My consolation is that there are hundreds of other winners of Parkhoppers, and people who entered this contest probably REALLLLLY wanted to go. After being informed that they won, some of them probably became as frustrated by the delay as some of us are, so I wouldn't be surprised if dozens of them have also been contacting them with, "Uh, where are my Disneyland Parkhoppers?" :thumbdown :rant::bash:
