Judging by what I see of this parade, Disney really looks to be on the ball. An interesting observation is that new techology allows for each ball to double as a parade float.

Although there are those that thought the Cars Land parade would go bust, it obviously has gone ballistic!

To Boldly Go Where No MiceChatter Has Gone Before!
This is some of the fun that the Luigi's "Pit Stop" crew gets to do. I really like it when they clean Stanley. Overall, I think that the CMs at Luigi's (and Mater's) are encouraged to keep it fun and light, and with things like this - it shows.

Those on Luigi's flying tires sure seem to enjoy interacting with the beachballs while riding. Seriously speaking, the use of the beachballs on the ride and in the procession are colorful and clever. Things like this add to the fun in the overall gust experience, plus build epirit se corps comradery among cast members.

I agree, my video of the tires show that its enjoyable.
This was an iPhone topic on the CM Shuttle recently.
DCA CM's told us this took place during an extended downtime for air compressor issues that I guess Luigi's struggles with, just as a wacky 2 minute interactive thing to keep the CM's out entertaining the Guests. They even had "Rope Girls" bringing up the rear of the parade! Brilliant!
Luigi's Flying Tires is a weird and sometimes sucky ride, but has been blessed with some really, really good leadership. Mary Niven chose the best of the best for Cars Land hourly and salaried leadership, and it shows.
I once worked on the River with the manager who is now in charge of Luigi's, and he is widely respected as not only a fair and balanced manager, but he also has a really good sense of humor. When he left our area, there were girls who almost cried because he was a funny and handsome dude that everyone respected and admired.
More important than the manager, the "A" Lead (top hourly supervisor) of Luigi's is in the same league, although I never worked with him as he was originally from Tomorrowland. But he has a really, really good rep with the CM's as a guy who has high standards but also knows when it's time to have a good time and joke around with CM's and the Guests. His reputation is known around the Resort as a super cool and super smart Lead to work for. He opened Finding Nemo Subs, then got sent over to DCA to open Little Mermaid, then got sent to Luigi's to salvage an attraction with big design flaws.
That these two guys in charge of the same ride (Luigi's) would come up with a beach ball parade during an extended downtime is not surprising. I'm kinda bummed I didn't transfer over to Cars Land myself, as I hear the CM's there are having a blast. And they even have Rope Girls for the 101 Beach Ball Parade!
