I was researching Embassy Suites South, and it seems like a place my daughter would LOVE! Also, it seems you get a better quality hotel for around the same price as Harbor off site hotels. I'm wanting to change hotel ressies, but just one issue.. The distance! I know it's not walking distance, I don't really intend to go back to the hotel mid day, maybe once or twice during our whole stay. We're going in Sept. - early Oct. What has been your experience with the shuttle to and from DL? Is it a great big hassle? Or would you do it again? How long to and from DL? Any info would be great. Walking vs shuttle, which do you prefer? Thank you!!

Re: Embassy Suites, how far is it??
The shuttle will take 20-60 minutes. It's not all driving time, it depends if you walk to the pickup and it's sitting there for you to get on or you need to wait for the shuttle to arrive. It can be an aweful time suck. The dates that you are going if it's a weekend it may not be that bad, but if it's weekdays when the parks have short hours you won't want to commit midday time to them.Be Cool Stay in School!
Next year I'm trying for a summer internship at Stark Industries.

Re: Embassy Suites, how far is it??
My family (4 total) stayed there the night before DCA's grand re-opening. Our experience we just fine. We bought our shuttle tickets at the front desk on the morning of the 15th, waited for about 20 mins because we didn't make the first shuttle-load of passengers. The drive was about 5 minutes. They drop you off, just off Harbor. They don't drive into the plaza area, so in case anyone in your party has issues walking, keep that in mind.
So the 20-60 minute estimate is accurate, but that is basically from the time you buy your tickets to the time you get to the baggage check line. You pay once and you can ride it as many times as you need to all day.
