So the dates for Mickey's Halloween Party were announced today! The event will once again be taking place in Disneyland Park.

I still am not getting why this is worth 50 bucks to get in to dress up.....and see Fireworks. I really wish they could start doing "more" exclusive things in the events so I could feel its worth it when I'm already paying 500 bucks for an AP

Just my Opinion....I know there is a market for this...just wish they would put more into it...so I could convince my friends to go

Have you been to the event before? I felt the same way when we bought tickets to the event last year and I ended up having a blast! It was one of the funnest nights at the park I have ever had!

^Well it's hard to get other to go....when I tell them what different....I'm not saying do mazes but look at Halloween Horror Nights....6 mazes...a new show every year....and 4 scare zones

Or Knotts 10 mazes..2 ride overlays...and like 4 shows..along with 3 scarezones

Disneyland...you can dress up...see Fireworks...and ride rides that are open during the day. I'm sure its great for maybe BIG Disney fans be conceiving just normal people to go...not so much.

Plus we know they COULD do some very cool things...

Ghost Stories on the boats on the Rivers of America
Switching Pirates to the Original audio
Having Big Thunder and Metterhorn (with no....or different Lighting effects)
Lastly another show...one in the Fantasyland theater based around the Villains

Yeah that is totally true... It really depends on what kind of Halloween experience you are looking for... Not being a big fan of haunts, Mickey's Halloween Party is that perfect mix of fun and Halloween. If you have never seen Halloween Screams fireworks that would almost be enough of a draw on its own

I've never been to a Mickey's Halloween Party before and was thinking of going on a Friday night this year. I was just wondering how crowded they and how they keep people that paid admission for earlier in the day out of the party unless they paid for it.

It's true, Trick or Treating last year at Disneyland is my fondest memory at the park! I'm so glad it's at Disneyland again this year.

Not to sound like an entitled AP holder but I wish there was an option for APs see this free or more discounted. Like a lottery pick for a private night. Or a free AP night with a limited amount of first come first serve tix. Actually scratch the lottery idea. They have been making me angry lately.

I also recommend the days they dont have discounts. Went twice last year. Once with a AP discount and was way crowded and once with a non AP discount and was not crowded at all. Pay the extra $10 to avoid the crowds

I've never been to a Mickey's Halloween Party before and was thinking of going on a Friday night this year. I was just wondering how crowded they and how they keep people that paid admission for earlier in the day out of the party unless they paid for it.

If you are looking for the lowest level of crowds go to a monday or tuesday night party... but with that said we went on a friday night last year and the crowds are very very manageable. The longest wait was for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy which was about an hour. Everything else was pretty much dead. The lines for the candy trails get long but there are tons of them throughout the park. We filled a backpack full of candy! To give you another idea of crowd levels we got a spot just to the side of the castle for the fireworks just 10-15 mins before the start of the show. It was great!

As for how they separate party guests from regular guests... When you enter the park (after the 4:00pm start) you are given a wristband. At the time the party starts the entrance to every single land has CMs stationed to check wristbands, if you do not have one they will not let you enter. All the attraction entrance CMs also check wristbands and the one at the start of the candy trails. About 30 mins into the party they have everyone out and will stop checking. The whole park is decked out and looks great! I would highly recommend this event!

If you are looking for the lowest level of crowds go to a monday or tuesday night party...

This will also be my first party, and I'm debating between Friday night (first night of the trip) and Tuesday night (last night of the trip). Attractions are not on my list for the party, so I'm not worried about that. Is there a consensus that Tuesday is the better night? Also, what's with the 6pm start time?
