The ride didn't over shoot its block breaks. A backpack got stuck in one of the trains wheels causing the ride to lose enough speed to valley between the loop and one of the block breaks.

It was all over the news last summer.


However, the ride did overshoot its block breaks in 2005, causing a train to rear end a train on the final break run.

Pet peave time. It drives me nuts when the wrong word is used to describe the device that stops a vehicle of any kind. The word is "brake". To "break" something is to cause it to be broken. Also to take a "break" as in rest period. A "brake" is a device used to stop or slow the movement of a vehicle or motion of a machine.

Typos happen, sometimes spell check does it, and sometimes people make a mistake, or sometimes maybe english is not someones first language, and sometimes, well the list could go on.

Nobody is perfect in this world and nobody is a perfect at spelling, and mistakes will happen.

I never understood the whole picking someone out on a forum because a word might be used incorrectly.

It was a big ordeal, from what I remember they had to rig some sort of pull system to get it up to the top of the next hill. From there they replaced the wheels on one of the cars (I think the front) that was damaged. One that was done they let gravity take over and it completed the ride! The whole thing took several days though...I imagine maintenance wasn't too happy with whoever didn't secure that backpack properly!!

Isn't it obvious guys? Tinkerbell, who was on break from the fireworks show, was hauled over to DCA. Using her pixie dust, they made the cars as light as a feather. All the CM's had to do was get behind and start pushing. It's really simple!

I know I already posted on here, but after seeing those pictures, I'd feel SO bad if I were responsible for the backpack incident! Although, then again, who brings a backpack on the ride? Are they even allowed?

yes you HAVE to bring ALL your belongings on the ride or leave them with a non riding member
