I love CS but the landscaping is dry and awful, sure you see the palm trees but that's about it, please wdi add some landscaping especially at the end of the ride where you see all those tumble weeds and dirt it looks, cheap who's with me!

Actually, I think there needs to be less landscaping and a nice building or attraction placed in the center of the helix. It's supposed to be a pier, so it shouldn't have a lot of landscaping, but it doesn't really feel like one. They should add a few tunnels to Screamin' to help block out the outside at a few key points and then some more cliffs or more trees just in the back corner to make it look like the shoreline continues beyond and help block the view of the convention center. Then a few minor details and decorations on the tubes and replacing some of the tacky sun elements on the bunny hills and a new soundtrack.

I just want a new Queue building that looks victorian add more foliage add new ragtime audio change the paint scheme on the coasters have that star mural thing taken down with just the paradise pier sign and then have those star thingys on the supports be taken down. something like this

ragtime music on an extreme coaster is a horrible idea. its fine the way it is. get a new queue, get rid of the sun, the tubes, re theme the cars and you'll have a better ride

I disagree... I think if they did it in an overly exaggerated ragtime style or even a wacky fast paced silly symphony style it would totally work. It would tie the Silly Symphony Swings and Screaming to the Victorian Boardwalk that they are truly going after. You could even take it a bit further and put a modified version of the 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody from the Paradise Pier Goofy show and use it on Goofy's Sky School to give it the extra kick the ride needs.

why change it? if it aint broke, dont fix it

They've already made one major change to Screamin's sountrack. They changed the launch spiel because it didn't fit the theme. It was "broken." It didn't fit with the overall theme they were going for. The current soundtrack also doesn't go with the Victorian Boardwalk environment that they are going for. You go from the new loop playing all over Paradise Pier to Screamin's wailing rock guitar track with carnival accents from DCA 1.0. While I do love the current soundtrack for Screamin and loved how it fit the coaster as part of DCA 1.0, I am totally on board with a change for a more thematically correct Screamin for DCA 2.0.

I love screaming but landscaping has always detracted from the ride. To me what makes disney's coasters is the amazing details that surround you and Sreaming basically doesn't have any. The detail is the Pier, but i just don't care much for that style. I hope someday we'll get a little more in terms of tunnels or details. Even the small rock cave that was shown on the redisgned PP would have been a step up.

California Screamin' on piano - YouTube

This video has the existing soundtrack played on a piano... It shows how it it could potentially sound. Now imagine it with a bit more appropriate brass instruments filling in some of the gaps from the original soundtrack into a swing or ragtime style or even orchestral style.

To see what I mean is imagine this band playing modified rhythms from the original ride score on horns. (Skip to about 2:32 in)

I doubt they'll get rid of the tubes. Weren't they installed to keep noise from travelling into town? I thought it was a requirement.

And for now, I'd be happy if they just got the music working on most of the trains. The last few times I've been there, I think only one or two cars had the music working. One of the times I went, the music cut out after the second climb.

I think you're right. They were a city ordnance or something like that.

I agree with the music part as well. Last month, the music was in and out through the whole thing.

The "Screamin' Tubes" are also needed to not let guests see out side the theme park...
