    [Chat] Subliminal messages!

I guess they're trying to use all means possible to get people to come with friends to avoid parking problems! This was on the AP page on Facebook.

While we're here, has anyone had any parking horror stories? Or has it all been smooth sailing?

It's easy enough to be pleasant
when life hums along like a song.
    But the man worth while
is the man who can smile
    when everything goes dead wrong.

Who knew that encouraging carpooling is actually a clever disguise for a sinister plot to cover up their own shortcomings!

haha yea i saw that. i thought it was a clever little tie-in with the opening of cars land, and the serious lack of parking...

a subliminal message is a hidden message that you dont know about. this is not considered a subliminal message

          THIS is a subliminal message:

            Re: Subliminal messages!

It's not subliminal advertising. It's using people's "greenliness" to get them to the parks. If they didn't exploit the eco craze, then I'd get really worried.

Subliminal means that they are trying to advertise to you using messages that aren't clearly visible to the average viewer/listener/reader. It's pretty obvious what they're trying to get you to do because It's stated right there, not hidden in some way.

At first I thought you were referring to Flo's V8's reflection on the hood of the car in front. :P

It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

Oh, I know it's not an actual subliminal message. I just didn't quite know what to call it! I just thought this was funny. Definitely clever, though.

Yes, I suddenly had the urge to go make popcorn and eat it in a dark movie theater.

There is nothing wrong (bring back the Keel Boats) with subliminal messages (bring back Keel Boats). It has been done for decades (bring Keel Boats) and quite successfully in advertising (back Keel Boats) where you get a second of an image that your brain (Keel Boats) sees, but your eyes don't (Keelboats). It just has to be done in a way that (keelboat) no one suspects to be successful.
