[Idea] How to Make A Marvel Park Without Just Marvel

INTRO

THE ENTRANCE

My Idea of a Marvel Theme Park's entrance wouldn't be just a a giant mural of comic strips . It would be grand and immersive. Think the entrance to Asgard, Thor's planet.





^The bridge could be one of two things: The actual entrance, or a the outside portion/track for a high speed RSR type of ride through the Universe of Thor.

The "Hub" design is over rated, yes. But the Castle at Asgard is a perfect center. Inside I think a walk through attraction would be cool.

THE LANDS

4.HERO CITY- Kinda of like Hollywood land, a street a facades, and indoor there would be extreme hi tech dark rides either built on Iron Man or Captain America. This street would start out in 40s theme like the time of Captain America, and somehow transition to present day, ending with a Stark Tower of Terror. jk hahah. But Stark Tower would work as a drop ride, and I love drop rides. An indoor coaster/dark ride would be great for a Hulk ride.





6.PANDORA- I guess this is also an adventureland. A Forbidden Journey type flyer ride. This would have the giant tree of souls as a centerpiece. Inside the Tree of Souls would be a 4D Avatar Experience Theater. A boat ride would work here too! And a wonderful restaurant full of colorful and exoctic foods would be great!

2.THE GRID- Tron. Highspeed. Indoor. Light Cycle ride. Maybe Underground. Permanent ElecTRONica. Arcade too. This is where all the shops would go, because I would try to limit the generic shops of each land. This would maximize space for other lands.

MAP

1. Entryway and bridge to Gold Covered Asgard.

2. Underneath the Snowy mountains of Evil is The Grid.



4. Hero City, with shops and dark rides.

5. The entry way to the dry and rusty Barsoom (Mars).

6. The Tree of Souls in Pandora looks over a lake that is a continuation of the lake in Asgard.

Whoa. Usually I hate every "new theme park" idea with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns, but I actually dig this. It works for all these ideas that the fans whine about "noooo not in the parks! It doesn't make sense!" and combines them all together into one grand park where they do make sense! I like this. You have my sword!

But buckle up. People are going to cry that there are no original/non-movie tie ins.

^ thanks. And yeah I know. I have a thread titled "If Everything Was Based off A Movie" and this pretty much breaks that rule, haha. But since the theme isn't just MARVEL it is more HEROES and ADVENTURE and PLANETS there is a lot more room and more possibilities to add original attractions.

I dissagree with your assessment that a Marvel park needs other properties to prop it up.

All of the other properties you named already has a Marvel property thats basicaly the same thing that could represent it instead of another franchise.

All of the other properties you named already has a Marvel property thats basicaly the same thing that could represent it instead of another franchise.

I don't care. I want to see the land where John Carter walked, I want to see The Grid not Marvel's similar, I want to explore PANDORA and be able to see the Na'vi. And I don't want the limitation of just Marvel. There is so much you can do by using Marvel and there is so much you can't do. By having a generic- but uniting theme, that isn't limited to a company name, there is room for originality and new ideas.

I was skeptical going into this thread, but after reading all the details, this is quite a fine park idea that has appeal to almost everyone. It has Marvel, some Avatar, Tron and leverage for even more maybe! :thumbup:

Well then it wouldnt be a "Marvel" park then with other properties, it would be as you said an "Disney Adventure" park.

but...

Didn't John Carter completely BOMB in the theater? I don't think you get any foot traffic in a land dedicated to a movie that almost nobody seen (and yes I know it was a decent adaptation to the book) but still...that would be extremely high risk.

Make it Tatooine and you got a deal!

....Also Throw in Hoth in the Snow area and I'll bring my shovel.

...oh yeah and make avatar into Endor...THEN we'll I'll be satisfied

I also feel that Marvel is strong enough to have it's own park ... that said ... this is something I would GLADLY compromise that for. Absolutely BRILLIANT!!

Maybe in addition to these (or in replacement of either Jon Carter/Avatarland) we could have a Villains themed land.

My only other reservation is that if the entire park isn't going to be completely Marvel themed then the Main Street/Park Icon shouldn't be just Marvel. Not sure how you'd incorporate all of these but this is an amazing start!!

but we need a stark tower with a free fall in it with a restraint at the top and the expo behinded
