Pretty knowledgable posters at that Magical place on line are saying Mr. Baxter has a brand new Disneyland project handed to him. One final gift of a significant new area/attraction for Disneyland. All to be done before he retires. Do any of you know about this mystery?

Would be awesome if its true but right now everything is just rumor
How freaking cool would it be to finial see Discovery Bay come to life, with Baxter and Lasseter designing and overseeing the whole thing!

Discovery Bay with Mt. Promethous as the focal point! A mix of Discoveryland in Paris and Mysterious Island in Tokyo. That ten year limit in duplicating TDS attractions has been met, by the way.Mark

i highly doubt we'll see anything "unbranded" but if anyone could get it done, it would be Tony. To bad Bruce isn't around anymore, the two of them could have ripped disneyland a new one.

Re: Tony Baxter's New Project for Disneyland
Difficult to say. The obvious would be one of the new attractions for Tomorrowland but Tony has also always been interested in the Frontierland area (Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, The unbuilt Discovery Bay) so it could be something for that area too or maybe he wants to try his hand at an attraction based on a Marvel Comics property. Very difficult to say but I expect nothing less than the best from him.

as much as i would love a Mysterious Island Discovery Bay expansion in the Autopia Sub area.
I think it would be fitting due to his history at Imagineering to let him update Frontierland and finally bring a variation of Western River to the BBQ area.
Heck just do both... it would be a great way to counter Potter when it comes to Universal Hollywood

Not just the North/East quadrant of the land ... but the whole kit-and-caboodle.
After all ... TL:98 was his project.
His final project .. should be to fix the one that was not properly redone - 14 years ago.MY SIGNATURE:
Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

Re: Tony Baxter's New Project for Disneyland
I'd say he'll tackle Frontierland, since Thunder Mountain inhabits that area. It would be nice if he could design an extension of Thunder Mountain train route over to the ROA area.I am old. But still love Disneyland.
