We are hopefully going to Disneyland at the end of August (still working out costs). If we do go, my parents are letting me pick out a restaurant in Downtown Disney for my sixteenth birthday dinner. At first, I was thinking Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. However, the prices are pretty steep :/ So now I'm leaning more towards House of Blues. Any reviews/opinions?

My 16 yr old likes HOB a lot, kinda noisy but great food, they have a killer lobster mac n cheese and Jambalaya

Is it noisy because of the music, or people? We generally don't mind music and a little general noise, but if it's just cramped and loud, we can become cranky.

Also, is it similar to Hard Rock Cafe?

Hard Rock would be a good comparison. I think the ambiance also adds to the noise. Hard Rock's walls are done in a very polished manner. HOB is like New Orleans and very busy. Lots of crazy designs everywhere.

The food is great though. I love "The Elwood". It's a blackened chicken sandwich with green chiles and chipotle mayo.

Just don't do the Sunday Brunch. You don't know cramped and uncomfortable until you've suffered through that nightmare.

I haven't eaten there but Anthrax rocked the place in January |m| I think I may have eaten breakfast at the one in Las Vegas and it was pretty good.

I love the themeing of House of Blues.

Them putting perfectly good lobster in Mac & Cheese puzzles me.

The one in Vegas is awesome. It almost has a Blue Bayou kind of feel to it, just not as dark.
