We're going Oct 14-18 and it's our first time in over a decade. How far in advance does Disney post which rides will be closed for maintenance? I'm hoping we'll get lucky and it'll either be ones we don't care about or something we've ridden before. Although this is our 6yr old daughter's first time so of course we want her to experience as much as possible.

Re: How far in advance do you know which rides will be closed?
I would say at least a month or 2 prior to that month. Some attractions that is speculated to be down during your visit is BTMRR as Frollofan said and Indiana Jones Adventure, per Al Lutz's past articles earlier this year: A Sense of Place - MiceAge.com
Now as its too early to say, best thing to do is check back around the end of August at either the DL Calendar on the website or go to Mouseplanet or catch a Miceage DLR update (Dateline Disneyland) as both their updates have refurb lists for both parks.
The world is a treasure trove of places.
The colors of Earth, Sea and Sky. Beauty i'm told, is ours to behold. In the wonderful world of color.

Re: How far in advance do you know which rides will be closed?
It was reported here that Indiana Jones would be down for two months this fall. I emailed Disney to get a refurb date and they replied that they only officially report closures 6 weeks prior, wouldn`t confirm or deny Indy closure.
