I've read some MC'ers say that the tinting on the RSR car windshield partially obstructs the view of the AA's and other effects. So are the second row seats better than the front row seats? Is there a difference in the views and overall ride experience between the front row and second row seats?

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
Second row for sure. I'd say the best two seats are the rear side seats, and the worst is front and center. Windshield partially obstructs the view within the dark showbuilding, and it seems to block some of the wind on the race part (the wind makes the ride feel faster).

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
If it is your first time riding, you definitely have to sit on the sides. I personally liked the front side more, but that might have been because I had the rush of being on it for the first time to back it up. I didn't notice any obstructions, really.

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
Of the four times I have ridden RSR I sat in the front the first three times and the back the last time. If you sit on the sides of the front the windshield is not a problem at all. And I noticed that the time I rode in the back I noticed the ceiling and show lights of the attraction which was only a bit distracting, but I never noticed them while in the front.

I like the second row because there are no wheel wells on the floor to cramp me more so than the view being betterThese are some of my favorite TRs I have posted

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
I've only ridden in the front, but sines I go single rider, I always end up on the side. However, I do find it obstructive to look through the windshield. I think that's the biggest flaw with t he ride.http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...oto-heavy.html

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
I've ridden in the front left side and the back left side. The front window wasn't a huge problem for me but the foot space was non-existant. There were only two of us in the front one on either side and we were both really without room for our legs. And i'm on the short side. Also there wasn't any handle that i could reach to hold onto up there. The back had a lot more room for legs and i could hold onto the side of the car, however the people in the front row were tall and so i was looking through their heads to try and see the ride.
Having already been on the ride i would choose the back row for the leg room. If its your first time i would choose the front row for the total experience. If you are in the front it feels like there is no one else in the car.

Re: RSR: Is front row or second row better?
I rode the back row all 7 times on my trip there. I did have the chance for a front seat one time, but one boy whose family I was chatting with in the single line, I let him take the front seat (it was his first time on the ride, and my 4th). Gotta keep that good karma at Disneyland. Plus, afterwards, the family were so ecstatic over the ride, that they got right back in line. The list of Disney people I've encountered in my life: John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Lee Unkrich, Darla K Anderson, Eric Goldberg, Don Hahn, Peter Schneider, Burney Mattinson, John Musker, Ron Clements, Nik Ranieri, John Kahrs, Jeff Turley, Patrick Osbourne, Dave Bossert, Roy P Disney.
People I would love to meet in person: Glen Keane, Andreas Deja.
