I was scared of almost everything in the park except the rides in Tomorrowland. I remember distinctly freaking out on: Tiki Room, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Submarine Voyage, Snow White, Pinocchio, Mr. Toad, and Roger Rabbit. Basically when I went as a little boy it was strictly Tomorrowland. I think it's funny that they list Captain EO on the maps as "can be frightening for kids," because I think that was my favorite thing to do when I was little! . So what were you guys scared of?

Re: Which rides were you scared of as a kid?
I was terrified of the Haunted Mansion. So much so that I thought every fancy building on Main Street was the mansion and would not go inside. Even as I got older I would close my eyes in certain parts of the ride where things jumped out at you.___________________________________________

When I was really young, Pirates because of the drops, all of the thrill rides and mountains, Fantasyland dark rides. Rides that I loved were Small World, Dumbo, Carousel, Storybookland Canal Boats, Autopia, Alice in Wonderland, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion.

I would hide when I was in line so I wouldn't have to see the witch come out every minute or so.

This is gonna be a long one...
During my first time at Disneyland, we went to the character Breakfast at Paradise Pier. The first character I saw was Max, and he freaked me out. Which led to my hiding under the table when Minnie came to us. WE obviously didn't go on anything really big. But, I ended up going on Dumbo, and I got so scared, that I started kicking the vehicle when I got off. (I was five.)
Mr Toad's Wild Ride scared me a little bit because of the explosion and the train scene.
The Breakfast caused me to not like characters. My mom told me that they weren't real before I even got into the park. Which freaked me out even more.
So, yeah. I guess looking back, my first trip to Disneyland was a bit traumatic.-Judge me by who I am in the real world, not by what I say on MiceChat.

Re: Which rides were you scared of as a kid?
I was extremely scared of the Haunted Mansion before I rode it. I wasn't even that young at the time, either. I remember walking into the facade and seeing the mirror on the left before you enter the Stretching Room. I was so scared that something was going to pop out at me or something before we even got on the ride.

As foolish as it may seem, I was scared of Storybook Land...I know right! It wasn't about the ride itself, but the idea that the ride started with being eaten by the whale just meant to myself as a little kid that it was only going to get worse.
That and Haunted Mansion was pretty scary the first time, but after that it has become one of my favorite attractions.

The Matterhorn - the first roller coaster I ever went on. My older brother took me. As an adult - Tower of Terror, not so much the ride but the anxiety that builds up while waiting to get on.Writing about all things Disney, a couple of paragraphs at a time

Re: Which rides were you scared of as a kid?
The first time I went I was 6 but I can't remember being scared of any rides... I came away from that trip with HM being one of my favourite rides (still is!) and the next trip I was 11, too old to be scared then! So I've never really been freaked out by any of them!..:: DLR Trips: 1994, 1999, 2012 ::..
