Not sure if I am remembering correctly or not but I think something is different. If you are walking into Tomorrowland from Main Street and as you walk towards the People Mover loading building, if you go left you have to cut through Tomorrowland Terrace and if you go right you can work your way around that side. At one time way back - was there a walk way to the left of that building between it and Tomorrowland Terrace?? It just feels muddled there to me, like not great crowd flow. I want to go around that building but it feels weird to cut through the terrace. I am sure there are people on here who can set me straight. Thank you.

ONE:
In the 1998 remodel ..... Circle Vision became the queue for Rocket Rods. In order to get people to the loading station ... they built a tunnel going underground .... and then came out ... sublevel ... at the Rocket Rods center load station. In order to fit that tunnel in ..... ground level (between Tomorrowland Terrace and the RR loading station was raised a few feet. So .. you had to walk up a few steps .. level out ... then walk a few steps down a narrow staircase .... which brings you (now) to the Tomorrowlander shop to the right. Altering that path ... which now tends to lead you directly into the Terrace .. where it was once flat and level.
TWO:
I don't remember the year .... 5 years ago ... 7 years ago ... 8 ... something ..... Coke Terrace went through a bit of a renovation. Perched behind the stage that lowers and raises ... is a semi enclosed seating area. There was always seating there since 1967 ... but they built low walls/railing around it. And the section of seats ... in between the Terrace and the sub lagoon also got some new low wall, new railing treatment that is reconfigured/different .. than the way it was in 1967-2005. The few steps you take to get to the ordering windows from the side of the subs .... to the Terrace are a bit different ... as it has a newer configuration. And when Buzz Lightyear was built ... that side of the building to the Matterhorn is also slightly reconfigured .. to allow a bay door to pull off/install Buzz omminover vehicles .. off and on.
So ... from the Terrace's point of entry from the old RR loading station ... rounding around to Buzz's bay door ... short walls, railings have been slightly reconfigured.MY SIGNATURE:
Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

I totally forgot I had started this thread so I apologize for not reading your reply and thank you for your great explanation.

Sorry I don't understand how to put photos into a post but I found this link that shows Tomorrowland in 1969. Would this be similar to 1982 - around the base of the people mover tower??

The base around the Peoplemover loading station/Rocket Jets ... Didn't change at all for 30 years (1967-1997). So .. your trip in 1982 .. walking that bend ... was no different than it was 1967 or 1997.MY SIGNATURE:

I don't remember anything being place of the granite ball. Maybe just a round planter with a bench built around it.Jeff made me famous!

Re: Former Tomorrowland Layout question (1982)
There was nothing there where the granite ball is today. The only things different is the Gantry system to take you to the top of the Rockets, the start of the Speedramps that took you to the upper deck to Space Mountain and the small seating/planter area you see in the right corner which is now where the Coke Refreshment stand is with the smaller replica of the Moonliner.
