  • [Question] Halloween Party Advanced Planning

    Well, our summer plans didn't work out after all. However, just my mom and I are going to go in September or October, and, drum roll please...we are going to see the Ellen Show! This does make planning difficult though, because her tickets won't even be released till mid-August, and then dates fill up fast.

    So, my questions are this. Do Mickey's Halloween Party tickets sell out? How late till the date of the party is it likely that we will buy tickets? Or could we buy tickets now and get a refund if it doesn't work out that we can get Ellen tickets for that date?

    Also, would it be fun for a teenager and her mother? What is there to do?

    I visited in early October last year on a Tuesday and was able to buy my tickets the day before.

    * Activities include all attractions except those in Toontown or Tom Sawyer's Island. Sorry, no Fast Pass available.
    * Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will be running.
    * Special Costume Cavalcade parade.
    * Special HallowScreams fireworks show.
    * Meet-and-greet various villains and the Fab Five in costume.
    * Trick-or-treat stations scattered throughout the park (with looooong lines).
    * The ability to wander the park in costume and enter up to three hours before the party starts.

      The cheaper two days usually sell out within a month or less. I went with my mom when I was twelve and loved it. The only one they did in the 90's. Now as an adult my fiancee and I have gone. Even though you don't have to you should both dress. It makes it more fun. There is a mini parade. Nightmare before Christmas fire works. Can only be seen the nights of mickey treat. To me the best Disney firework show ever. There a two different dance floors. Lots of tricker treating for kids of all ages. Pictures with characters dress for Halloween. Two ride overlays haunted mansion... nightmare before Christmas and space mountain ... ghost galaxy. Also all the rides are open.

        It sounds like a blast! I would like to go the 28th of September, but due to school, the 12th of October might be the better option. From those with experience, which is less crowded? And which will sell out first? I'm guessing the September one since it is cheaper.
