I can seriously hear them from 26 miles away on most night depending on the winds. I lived in the West Covina/Walnut area.

I can hear them from Newport Beach and that is about 15 miles away. If you go on top of a hill they sometimes could be seen too.

One interesting phenomenon that I have witnessed is that on the 5 freeway you can see the fireworks for several miles as you approach Disneyland going from the north to the south, but going north you almost need to be right next to the park in order to catch a glimpse.

That's really curious! I wonder why that is.

I'm also from Newport Beach and I live on a hill so I can see them from my yard and i can hear them too!

They need to light them all off at once... like in San Diego. :lol:

I'm in for 10 days of fireworks here in Calgary now, for Stampede. Should be some great displays as it's the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede.

I used to live down the street from the resort. Though I could never see the fireworks from my window, I could always hear them.

I grew up watching them from the end of my driveway about 2 miles from DL and now live about 4 miles away and can see them from my living room. It's much quieter now too, but clearly audible if I pay attention. I don't notice them most nights, honestly! It's a bit sad, I can't enjoy many other firework shows since they rarely live up to Disney standards! =)

I can't see them from my house exactly but if I walk up my street I can. It's just little bursts of light in the distance but it's them. I could definitely hear them and they be annoying if it's going on when I'm going to sleep

I remember meeting two girls several years ago who lived "just down the road" from Disneyland who said they could watch the fireworks from their balcony or something.
