  • [Question] Is there any news lately on an expansion of Big Thunder Ranch/Festival Arena?

I know that the park utilizes the Festival Arena for corporate picnics and special events, but talk about an unused are as a whole! Since the removal of Cosmic Waves, (or Toxic Waves as we called it when I worked there), the park needs a splash zone for kids and parents. Why not make a geyser themed splash zone in the Festival Arena area, (or in just part of it)? it could be an homage to the geysers that used to be on the Mine Train through Nature's Wilderness. And, of course, an opportunity to sell merchandise i.e. beach towels & t-shirts.

I would much rather see an e ticket attraction then a splash/soak play area!

I hate the splash areas. The only one that doesn't bother me is the Bugsland one cause it's very tucked away and not out in the open.

And the bugs one is more a splash you can go in and not get soaked to the bone. But i agree I am not fan of these no matter how well themed they are.
