  • [Rumor] Entrance of the new/up coming PFF

In another thread, we kinda got a bit OT.

    See here:

To continue my thought and question asked above and to "verify" the rumor...

Where is the entry for PFF going to be? Will it have two ways to enter?
The rumor I heard was that the entrance would be at the border of Frontierland/Fantasyland. What is now a backstage area will become a street like entry that will open up to the PFF "village square". It will be both the entry and exit for guests.

    Any thoughts?

I can't answer your question, but I hope it has 2 entrances/exits. Hope its not going to be a dead end of sorts as it will become abit of a bottleneck

If you're talking about the Fantasy Faire Village, the access is the same as it always has been (via Fantasyland, Frontierland and Main Street). If you're talking about the princess meet & greet within the village, it's queue will be at the northern end of the village and the exit at the south of the M&G building.

Yeah, there shouldn't be strollers in the hub, I think there will be space for them between the castle passage and the entrance of the meet and greet.

This was what I was wondering... that and the stroller issue in the hub.

I guess I am not sure what the name is exactally of the project obviously, someone can correct that I suppose...
When it was announced I was like "meh... another princess thing..." but now that someone has mentioned it being a sub-land on par w/ NOS, I feel I should understand what this person said! And I do LOVE to chase DLR rumors all over the net!

The way it was described to me, is that there would be no walkway to the hub. It would be seperated by the moat and landscaping/trees/some walls... I drew on a map of what was described to me, and trying to make sense of it. I guess I got the name wrong in the title of this thread? If so, bear with me. Thx!

"...a meandering path that winds its' way towads the new village square..."

Sounds nice to me! Based on this rumor, we cannot see it from the hub, and looking towards it will reveal nothing but a moat with trees on the opposite side.

People keep expressing that it is going to spill out into the hub in a major way.

I was under the impression that it was going to have the same entrances as it does, either way, it would make no sense to get rid of the entrance via the castle, 2 entrances is good, I also think they'd keep the frontierland entrance

So this is something that already exists? It is just being plussed? It is NOT a new sub-land?

I tend to block out any and all Disney Princess stuff. It never has appealed to me until now, and that is only if there is a whole new (albeit small) environment on par with NOS.

And mickeyfan, I think it kinda does make sense to not have access to that point just to keep the theming of the hub itself. But this is just a personal preference.

I really hope this does not connect to Main Street. They are already ruining a nice area of Main Street by building this thing here instead of inside Fantasyland proper.

I disagree, it will be fine where it is, besides, practically nobody ever went over there unless there was a character over there or swing dancing. We all complained that PFF was in a theater wasting space. but if they bulldozed the theater and put this there you would complain because they could fit a ride or 2 there. They put it in the most logical place to make it fit, where there was room, and where they could never fit more then a spinner ride there.

No, actually I wouldn't complain because at least it would be built in fantasyland, not on Main Street. Although I would prefer that they built it in the old Motorboat Cruise area.

No, they put it in the most logical place to market their princess brand - up front and center where it could make them more money and then encourage parents to make their little girls over into little princesses in the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique.

As has been expressed frequently on this topic, the issue isn't its "beauty," but its location. This combination marketeering mall, walk-thru infomercial and homage to Disney Consumer Products belongs on the other side of the Castle walls, inside Fantasyland.
