I was reading today the Dateline Disneyland and it said that the line for Fastpass (for Radiator Springs Racers) is 45 Mins when the park opens...has anyone waited in line for Fast Pass and how long did you wait for it?

Yeah, I waited about half an hour for a FP as well back in June. It's really not all that bad because the line is almost constantly moving. If it's a big issue, you can grab breakfast to eat while in line to keep productive and once you're close to Cars Land, you can watch people on Mater's, which is always fun.

Re: 45 Min Fastpass wait for Cars Racers?
I went the for Cars Land's second weekend. I got there 15 minutes before the park opened and the line went to the Hollywood bathrooms. Once the park opened, it was only about 15 minutes until I got to the fastpass station, so I'm not sure where that 45 minute time frame comes from unless they are including the time people are waiting before the park opens. By the time I did get to the fastpass distribution area, they were giving out fastpasses for 11:55."Greetings, Starfighter! You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the Frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada."

The gates open at 7:30, but the park dosn't open till 8:00.
At 7:30 they let you line up for RSR fastpasses, that will be distributed at 8 when the park opens. Once the line starts to move it's only 10 mins or so. So if you count the 1/2 hour that the park is not open for, yes, it's about 45 min wait. It moves quick because the cast members put your card(s) in the machines for you.
They run out of FP's quick though. I think within the first two or three hours.
And the MOST IMPORTANT THING: You only need one member of your group in the fast pass distribution line with all the valid passports (your other guests have to have entered the park for it to be a valid passport) The line gets crowded if 8 people are all waiting together and the roped off area is not that wide.Last edited by PirateLover; 07-09-2012, 11:27 AM.

Re: 45 Min Fastpass wait for Cars Racers?
I usually never visit Disneyland in the morning hours when the park is opened.
I have always did the single rider line RSR with my whole family with me. Never waited more than 45 mins. Get to ride it at least 2 times one in the day and one at night.
I don't see what the point of riding it as a group because no one will be talking on the ride, you guys will be enjoying the scenery. You guys can talk once you get off the ride.

The other cool thing if you're with a group of people and choose the single rider line, knowing you will be split up, is that you may end up racing your friend(s) in the other car! It's random and there's no way to know if you are in the right set of cars or seat placement, but it's fun when it happens!
