[Chat] What do you think DCA still needs to fix?

With the opening of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, the park has been seeing a lot of attendance in the past month. Despite that, it's hard to deny that there are still things the park could work on to make it even better. The resort is constantly evolving and I like to see what others want/don't want to be done. What do you want to change? Let's try to avoid pessimism while we're at it.

Personally, I'd like to see something done with the Pacific Wharf area. The land just seems boring to me, but adding an attraction might change that. Alcatraz maybe??

DCA still has a Phase 2 planned, who knows but i expect that Pacific Wharf and Bugland will be addressed and fixed

The park really needs a BIG animatronic adventure ride, on the scale of Pirates of the Carribean. To me, that's what separates any other amusement park from a Disney park. Perhaps something on the Gold Rush?

They need to continue with the excellent theming that they've accomplished with Car's Land and BVS.

I think a Gold Rush ride would be cool. But to be honest, really animatronic attraction would benefit the park (besides superstar limo). I think Hollywoodlands facades and T Party area should be a main focus for "Phase 2" if and when that gets off the ground.

Hollywoodland needs a good dark ride (maybe replace Monsters) and possibly an E-Ticket if they could fit it in there. I'd also like to see some better things in the Paradise Pier around the area of Goofy's Sky School and Jumpin' Jellyfish. Feels like there's not much going on around there. They could also finally put something in place where the Maliboomer used to be instead of that smoking area or whatever is there right now.

I agree, Hollywood area need the most help in DCA right now. I also might add something between Cars Land and Tower of Terror in that phase, but I'm not sure what yet. I just know that I want to see a new version of Great Movie Ride, I don't know if there is room for it though

I think a dark ride in Hollywood Land that somehow uses the classic Disney characters like Oswald would be pretty cool.

Yes, Hollywood Land should be the priority for future expansion. I find it a bit awkward when the conductor on the Red Car Trolley does the spiel and says: "Right in front of us is the Hollywood Studios section, where the movie making magic happens. We have great attractions there including Muppet Vision 3D, Monster's Inc Mike and Sully to the Rescue and Mad T Party at 7pm!". Yes, because those attractions scream "movie making magic!"

yeah, they also scream "great attractions" don't they? I might but fun attractions, but none of those are truly "great" to me, great means its an E ticket, or at least a solid D ticket

I think the little mermaid was supposed to be that great animatronic dark ride that the park was lacking. I wish I felt like it really filled that gap but I think it doesn't fill that gap completely because it's too short.

Holywoodland needs more going on for sure. I feel like they could tear out the midway games section and put in another ride next to Midway Mania that takes up part of the area under Screemin where Maliboomers used to be. I'm thinking something really simelar to the old fashioned fantasyland dark rides but with a "scarey" theme of some sort. They had some cool rides like that at the Fun Zone on Lido Island in Newport Beach which would fit in perfectly with the Paradise Pier theme.

I think an omnimover dark ride that last anywhere from 7-10 minutes would do wonders for the park. Disneyland has both Pirates and the Haunted Mansion, both of which last long and can take on big crowds, but most of DCA's rides are pretty short. Hollywood Land is practically begging for a ride like this.

Two words LITTLE MERMAID, but seriously i dont think little mermaid was a flop, though they might want to fix the line fiasco, because the Little mermaid has to much line and to little people in it, and that just proves that the omnimover system works, but i agree another Dark Ride, im up for it

Again, Great Movie Ride is basically what the Hollywood Land section needs the most right now, but not an exact clone of the one in DHS, just the same concept if that makes sense. Oh and the Hyperion theater needs a massive facelift

oh, and whatever they do in the rest of the park, please nothing else the rotates on an axis (a la MFW, SSS, GZ, FFF, MJJ, FLB etc)

I totally disagree. The great movie ride is a terrible experiance in my opinion. I'd love to see something using period themes like Dick Tracy or Rocketeer.

Actually Rocketeer even got a nod in BVS, but i'm aware that Tracy is outdated. I'd like to see a comeback of both properties because of how well they fit the theme there. I'm sorry the Great Movie Ride is just a slow moving boring ride through familar classic films with now real flash or unique quality.

in your opinion... To me it is the most interesting thing in DHS that isn't a clone of things in the other parks (TSMM, Star Tours), and even at that, Star Tours is the only thing that comes close to being better
