If your cousin has never been to DLR, definitely do Disneyland. It has history and has far more to do than DCA. If they have been or really, really want to see Cars Land, then the choice is clear.

Grocery store tickets are now the same price as purchasing at the park. I highly doubt that any still have them at the previous price.

As to legitimate discounts, they do exist such as military discounts. More details can be found at MouseSavers.com - Discounts on Disneyland Tickets & Passes

When I visit DL, I usually buy my tickets at a little place on Harbor Blvd. called 'Discount Tickets'. It's pretty close to Tony Romas.

The 3 day tickets are a few dollars less than at the DL booths and there's usually no line to wait in.

I don't know if a 1 day would be less though.

                Mod Note:

Folks, looks like this thread has covered every legitimate way to purchase tickets to Disneyland. The Disney Good Neighbor Hotels all sell tickets, some of them for literally just a few dollars less than their face value (which they take out of their small commission). This thread is closed now, because if history is any indicator, there will soon be those who show up here with a post suggesting sources which are both extremely risky for you to use, and which also violate Disney's terms of use for their tickets. MiceChat does not endorse anything that breaks Disney's rules, so we never allow such posts to stand. Thanks for your understanding.
