  • [Question] chimichangas??

So my DBF loves the chimichangas from the cart near the Matterhorn. He eats them every morning for breakfast when we are in the park and most often eats a second one for a snack later in the day. He says he eats so many while we are there because he knows we can't get any that are as good at home. He is craving them because we missed our trip in June and don't go again until September.

Does anyone know the manufacturer or distributer of this product? I'd like to try to get some for him. But if they are made by the parks kitchen I guess that isn't possible. It's worth a shot. Maybe even the recipe if it is out there in cyber land.....

    Thanks guys!

I don't have the specific answer to your question but they taste very similar to the microwave burritos they sell at convenience stores like 7-11. Instead of microwaving it try frying it and see how it turns out.

Wait, really? I can't help you on your quest, but I cannot stand those things. D:

I don't see what the big fuss over them is either Haha

But then again one of my favorite things in the park are the huge baked potatoes with tons of toppings. And those arent anything amazing by comparison. But to me they are the best ones I've ever had to date!

You know I have walked past that cart and have always wondered about the chimichangas and have never quite convinced myself to get one. I guess I will have to try next time.

I don't know about the chimichangas but if they are prepared at the cart like the churro's sometimes when they are setting up in the morning or re-supplying the carts they open the back service panels and sometimes you can catch a glimpse of the products original packaging.

Never tried them because I've never heard of them. Guess I'll try them myself when I go next time! Maybe by then I might have your answer.

Also, what sounds better? Chimicherry or a CherryChinga? Why not combine them all! Chimicherrychonga! Oh, better yet! Pickle barrel kumquat chimicherryconga!

            Sorry, couldn't resist

Ah, the Mystery Meat Chimichangas. My favorite Disneyland snack. I get one every visit. Can't stand to look at those turkey legs though.

                Re: chimichangas??

I did an internet search to no avail, but I did find a non-Disney chimichanga recipe that looks good (and vaguely similar):

                Recipe: Chimichangas

I've never had the chimichanga at Disneyland, but suddenly I feel like I will the next time around. Sounds curiously good right now!

                    Re: chimichangas??

I enjoy Chimichangas, but I personally never really cared for Disney's version of it.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

I love these ChimiChangas... I eat 3 a day to help me grow up big and strong.

No. but I do eat about 3 or 4 every visit to soak up all the liquor in my system.

They must be different than the one I got in DCA. To be kind, it was a bit dry and difficult to get down.

Sounds like the one I had in Fantasyland.
