Monstropolis would be cool if they did it right not like the horrible fascade on Monsters Inc. now. I always thought an indoor roller coaster going through the the different doors in the movie would be really cool. You could totally have animatronics and everything. Heck I wouldn't even say you need a full fledged land just replace the current ride at DCA with the coaster idea.

Now, that might be interesting if they put a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster type ride where Monsters, Inc is now. Just theme it to the door vault in Monsters, Inc. When I first saw that scene in the movie, I thought that would make a great roller coaster ride.

That's been a long standing rumor to go into DHS. Hasn't happened there, yet.
Moster's may have plenty of great material afte the next movie. DCA doesn't have the room for truely new "land". DL doesn't have movie themed lands I hope it never does.
Be Cool Stay in School!
Next year I'm trying for a summer internship at Stark Industries.
We do not need entire lands based on one movies. Especially not forgettable pixar movies, that were barely successful.
Really dude?
Relax, someone is just posting an interesting idea that they would like to see. God forbid someone uses their imagination to project something that they like. You could tell by the title of this thread exactly what is was going to be about and you purposely came in the thread to shoot someone's idea down?
Do you think it would happen? Who knows, but at least let other people dream and hope and freely express something that they would enjoy.

Not a Monsters land but the roller coaster idea sounds pretty awesome. They could make combine the Monster's Inc show building with Stage 17 to make it bigger.
I think the most underappreciated Pixar film, at DLR, is the Incredibles.
When I first saw that movie 8 years ago, I thought, "Holy Crap. I bet Disneyland builds Incredi-land next." There's so much ride potential in that world, and I am shocked that we haven't gotten anything yet...

"You'll need a Boesky, a Jim Brown, a Miss Daisy, two Jethro's, a Leon Spinx, not to mention the biggest Ella Fitzgerald ever."
Monster's Inc. is my favorite Pixar movie! As much as I love, I don't think it needs a whole land. I really wish the ride was better and I'm hoping they make it better when the new movie comes out.
explain how it was forgettable? and how it was barely successful?
Nothing about the movie has lasted. There's nothing about it that has stood the test of time. It's like Incredibles. A hit when it opened, but now...hardly ever thought of.

So why is it getting a sequel? Why does my daughter watch this movie about twice a day? It may have been forgettable with people without families but kids LOVE this movie (as do I) so to say it is hardley ever thought of is your opinion and not fact, unless you can back that opinion up with fact.
In my top 5 Pixar films it is definitely up there, and not to mention it probably has some of the best voice-acting done in a Pixar film. John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Tilly...just to name a few
