Disney trivia. You can get questions off the internet, or buy a Disney trivia game and just read the cards to each other in the car.

Thanks! I like the trivia idea. We all get pretty competitive doing Disney trivia. That should pass some time!
You're doing 17 straight hours of driving? You might wanna spend one or two of those praying for time to move faster. :P
I know. We are very dedicated, I guess you could say. x) No time to waste! Of course, we're all going to rotate driving. Except for the 4 year old, she isn't quite handy at the wheel yet.
17 Hours, dang. That is similar to the time it would take my friends and I to drive there. We decided to just go with the 2 hour plane flight. It wasn't actually that much more money than driving surprisingly. We couldn't have driven anyway as we would have had to take 2 days of Park time off our trip for travel.

Yeah, I opted to just fly there but my sister was not into it. She wants to save every dollar we can!

Are you sleeping before you get to the resort? You could always talk about what everyone wants to do, what things are must-dos, things you'd be okay skipping out on, and stuff like that. Depending on when your last visit was, you might be overwhelmed with how many new things there are.

We are leaving in the afternoon so at least half of the trip will be night time. So hopefully we will all get a few hours of sleep. We went last October so the only thing that will be new for us is DCA. That could be interesting to talk about!

This is my vote.
You can build a plan, and you will have the time and everyone will be present. Its a perfect time to have this type of meeting.
Where are you coming from if I may ask... knowing this will allow others to mention certain quick stops you can take along the route that will serve two purposes!

If the 4 year old knows Disneyland is at the end of the trip, I'd bet she would gladly take the wheel! lol
We used to play the alphabet game with road signs.
Hope you have a great trip! Take pics to post here!
sigpic Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

If you're all sleeping when you're not driving, that's going to be an awful handful of hours for the driver. :P I wouldn't blame the passengers, though.

Haha yes. We're switching off every couple hours though so hopefully it won't be too bad. It'll just be a case of "ugh, my turn again?"
I got a 26 hour one to Disneyland next week, I usually picture pictures of the rides on my phone and draw them out not all of them are beautiful but it could make for a fun compition!
We're making the same drive (from PDX) in Oct. with a 6 yr old. I feel your pain! My husband is totally Clark Griswold- loves the idea of driving and all the "exciting" things to see along the way! Not much excitement on I-5 if you ask me. I'm making sure we're well stocked with Disney DVD's, food & maybe some road sign Bingo. Good luck & safe travels!

Haha! Oh goodness. I just feel better we're not the only ones making a long trek to Disneyland! Dvd's are a good idea, I'm thinking we should invest in a portable dvd player of some sort for the trip. We could watch about 12 movies the whole way there!
