[Question] How long has the Disneyland Hotel mural been working?

I knew that they planned on adding special light effects to the Disneyland map in the DL Hotel lobby, but was disappointed when the mural debuted and they weren't working. Well, to my surprise I walked through the Hotel last night and and the mural was all lit up! Unfortunately I don't have pictures, but every minute a ride lit up with special effects. The steam on the RR, the bobsleds on the Matterhorn, and the elephants on Dumbo were all animated! Does anyone know how long this has been working? It's really cool to look at maybe even recommend going to check it out.
