Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
They're going to need to get alot of complaints to change the bobsleds. Even if they did get enough, I strongly doubt they'd bring the old ones back. I don't mean to put a downer on anything, but you're wasting your time.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
Why would you want them to bring back the old bobsleds instead of asking them to redesign them from scratch, or simply add padding to the current seats?
Or how about asking for them to finally tackle the crux of the problem: the track is too old and needs to be rebuilt like Space Mountain's was a couple years ago?
Seems like asking for something back is taking two steps backwards, there's a reason they took them out.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
The old vehicles allowed people to hold one another, it was a great ride for parents and children as well as couples on a date .
Also the previous bobsleds were more comfortable and would not require a costly redesign to put back on the track (since they had already been in use for many many years)

In my opinion, the new seating configuration is the step backward. A lot of people no longer have the desire to ride the Matterhorn - myself included. I'm pretty sure that this was not the desired effect going in.
Sorry but Disney would not invest in these new bobsleds only to replace them soon after. But cushioned padding would be appreciated though.
Depends on the size of the response and the immediate effect on revenue/ride counts.
If you're a certain height, and the new compartment doesn't allow for comfortable seating of someone your size, then simply adding padding is a bit like putting a hubcap on a tractor.
This was a bad move on their part. They need to at least be told by enough people to get a dialogue going. Wouldn't be their first mistake (DCA 1.0), won't be the last. I plan to make my feelings known as the OP is suggesting.

It was good for parents and children but annoying to ride with another adult as a 'couple'. I'll just never get how anyone considers a roller coaster a 'date ride'. The point of a date ride is quality time together imo, not trying to avoid getting a dent in your face from you SO's head.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
I'm pretty sure Disney won't consider going back to the old cars because of the seat belt issue. What is more likely, is that they will try and fix up the new ones. I personally have no problems with the new ones, but I know there are a lot of people who don't like them.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
I don't want the old sleds back (hate the tandem seating and clumsy archaic seat belts), but I want them to fix the poor design of the new ones. More padding would be a huge step in the right direction.

This. A lot of folks, including myself, did not appreciate the tandem seating.
They need to put padding in these sleds or bring in the ones from WDW Space mountain, that are single seaters but look lightyears more comfortable.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom has very similar cars as these new Matterhorn cars. Why didn't they just go off of that design? Also, the tandem seating was awful. For those looking for a quick cuddle, the park still offers plenty of other rides for that.

Theoretically, it could work.
In any case, it's not your time that's being wasted unless you're replying to a thread telling people their wasting their time. People have opinions on it and they need to be relayed to the proper departments.

Wether or not there is a chance of bringing the old
Cars back or if Disney just adds more padding. It is important that Disney hear from is the customer. If we just keep our comments to ourselves we have even less of a have of anything being considered.
I personally LIKE the new ones (and yes, I'm 6 foot, long-legged, and overweight). I hated the old cars since my wife and I always had to ask to ride alone as I thought they were too uncomfortable that way.
It's not like you are riding them for a 5 hour drive, it's a couple of minutes people. (And they could be worse, like Space Mountain in WDW).
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
I hope they never consider going back to the older cars. These new ones are way better. I'm 6'-4" and 240 pounds and these new cars a much more comfortable. Sitting with someone straddling me was terrible before. And if I rode alone I was tossed all over the place. Even my nine year old son prefers the new sleds to the old ones. And he's tall and skinny.
So I'll send Disney compliments on the new design.
Re: Matterhorn seats: Please submit comments to Disneyland.
The old bobsleds were the exact reason why I've avoided the Matterhorn. I don't even want to chance getting seated with a relative like that. Re-installing the old bobsleds will cost a fortune at this point. I doubt they'll re-install them, even if we request it.
