[Question] So... Disneyland's Weather Is NOT Hot? Low 80's, High 70's In July?!?! How's August?

I'm arriving in August but I'm noticing via The Weather Channel that Anaheim is having fantastic low temp weather during the summer. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?

I'm in Texas and we're HOT. 100 degree weather and high 90's, heat index higher than what is posted.

So for you folks, ladies and gents near Anaheim, what's the weather like compared to how it is being reported? Thanks!

Southern California is always like this. This is why we get rave reviews. :P I'm in San Diego, but 80 degrees feels about right.

I went to DLR last week, the weather was within the range of low 80s to high 80s. Humidity has been pretty high these past few weeks so (personally) it felt more like the 90s in the afternoon. At night I didn't even need a sweater -- but that's a rarity. The typical SoCal summer has warm temps during the day and temps at night in the 60s. It's best to bring an extra layer to wear when the sun goes down (just in case).

No where near as hot where you are Micoofy Duck but people were definitely taking more advantage of the attractions with AC. And dining locations offering ice cream/cold beverages were packed.

So. California along the coast tends to be mild year round with heatwaves that see above average temps every so often.

On Average August/Sept have the highest averages for much of So. California, in Anaheim it appears to be in the upper 80's based on weather channel website and lows of mid 60's.

I live in San Diego region, but the temps in San Diego tend to be cooler then in Anaheim.

Go east especially on the east side of the mountains you will see triple digits in So. Cal, I am visiting my mom and today it was pushing 110 degrees.

The temperatures in the summer for the most part are not too bad. Anaheim is usually in the 80s with a few low to mid 90s sprinkled here and there. More rare is 100+ degree heat, but generally this usually happens only for a 2-3 day stretch in most summers.

I used to live in California and was used to 80s all the time. Since moving East, 80s is unbearable for me. I feel like a pice of chicken on a skillet in California. Isn't is supposed to start getting cooler in August?

We've been having an extremely weird Summer. The low clouds usually begin to disappear after we hit July, but we've had them almost non stop since May in the Morning and late at night. We could easily pop into the 100's in August, but this is definitely not a normal Summer, so who knows. Enjoy the cool 80 degree temps while they last!

Yeah, lots of June Gloom in July. It kind of cracks me up that the rest of the country is dying from heat stroke but we're quite comfy here. Hard to say what August is going to bring us, but I wouldn't really be surprised if the heat goes way up. And the "humidity" here is nothing like it is in states with real humidity, where you feel like you're drinking the air.

this is what California is famous for the weather.. like others have said Anaheim stays in the 80s for the most part in the summer with a few heat waves here and there in the 90s.. but aug and sept see the most heat waves. but there is a good chance you will have good weather for your visit its California.

Where we live is pretty much the same distance from the ocean as Disneyland (just further North and without so many houses between the two ... just lots of farmland).

We don't have central air in our house, only about 2-3 weeks per year that we'd actually use it. You typically get the ocean breeze each afternoon, we get it about 2:00 - 3:00 Disneyland will usually get it a bit later.

It can get warm inside Disneyland, and can seem warm due to the amount of people, lack of shade in some places and open area's with lots of cement/asphalt.

Come September, the heat will arrive, as well as the Santa Ana winds. The heat will begin to crank up in August. Now, if you would like a bone chill during the summer, visit Eureka/Arcata. Some reported high temps this summer (according to the National Weather Service) have been 57 degrees, 59 degrees with fog, and a warm up to 71 degrees.

Last night when I went out to get some dinner I had to wear a jacket. I live near Huntington Beach which is closer to the ocean and I actually have to go to Anaheim where its hotter to experience anything resembling summer weather.

Well, I know people always say it's not humid down there, and I suppose it isn't when compared to someplace like Florida, but I have to say if you're used to a dry heat (such as I am here in Sacramento), then you definitely can feel the humidity in Anaheim, and 80-85 degrees there feels considerably warmer to me than 80-85 degrees here. So if you live where it's dry, don't consider what you know as 80 degrees to be exactly the same in Anaheim.


Just looking at accuweather, I see that it's 77 degrees in Anaheim right now, but the humidity is 49% giving it a "real feel" of 91.
