  • [Question] Is the Disneyland Hotel worth staying at for just One night?

ok so December 2nd of this year will be my 21st birthday and ive never actually stayed in a disneyland resort hotel before and id only maybe be able to afford one night there. I just really want to know if its worth it to even stay there.

Well IMO I would think one night might not be worth it. I say this only because how much time will you actually be in that room to even enjoy it? I find the hotel is just in a great location and it is decorated with the Disney theme so for those reasons for me, makes it a great place to stay. I don't know what your plans are but if you just plan on using it for a place to sleep you might be better to save your money for when you can spend more time there.

I love the Disneyland hotel, but if you can stay only one night, and it shortens your trip..then I would say no. I would also say no because a huge reason we stay there is the pool, and in December its not an option. I can say that nothing beats walking through downtown Disney at the end of a night and going back to a hotel where the magic still lingers.

Yes. There's nothing like having the magic of Disney all around you and getting in the zone. In order to do that, you need to stay in one of the Disney hotels and not exit into the real world! Many visitors to Disneyland don't see things this way because they are mostly locals and drive in for the day and leave the same day. Visitors to Walt Disney World, on the other hand, understand this completely because they are mostly vacationers and stay multiple days.

I rarely stay at the Disney hotels because there are significantly cheaper options within walking distance, but for a special occasion we'd try to stay there! I say do it, you only turn 21 once! (And you'll be closer to the best bar at the resort!)

I'd say only do it if you're going to spend a fair amount of time at the hotel. If you're an AP holder and being in the park isn't your top priority, then go for it.

For one night, I'd say it's not worth it, particularly because of the prices they charge. If it was cheaper, I'd say go for it, but for me personally, I don't see the value in spending that much money for a room, no matter how "magical" it is, if you'll only be there for one night.

Finally staying in a DLR Hotel is one of the things on my to-do list as well, but I keep finding alternatives to that plan that are much cheaper and aren't bad in the least. I say do it, but if you do, you've really got to commit and make the most of it. Don't start second guessing yourself once you've decided!

for one night I would say no. use the money for two or three nights at a nearby hotel and enjoy a longer more relaxed stay.

One night at the Disneyland Hotel is not worth it since you will be mostly spending your time at the Disneyland Resort. When I won a FREE night stay at the Disneyland HOTEL, I was mostly in the park for most of the day. I basically just used it to store my luggage,

I remember staying there 3 nights a few years ago, i didn't think too much about the rooms. I thought they were on the small side. facing the parking lot didn't help either. BUT i'm glad i stayed so i could get it out of my system. I probably would never stay there again though.

I say do it if you've never been. What better way to celebrate your birthday then to spend a night in the magic?

Don't the hotels have pools and entertainment centers that only guests can use? If you're a local you never see any of that. Would that be worth it?

You know I thought about doing it for one night too on my trip next month, even maybe 2 nights but the cost is insane. 400 dollars. not including taxes and add ons. And then for 2 nights almost 1,000 dollars again with tax included and add ons. I figured I'd hardly be at the hotel because i'd be out enjoying Disneyland theme parks and I figured I could get into DCA early for one hour but then I think... that one hour cost me almost 1000 dollars.

So is it worth it to me... HECK NO!

I plan on using that 1000 bucks on a trip for WDW for the holiday season. That is a bigger return for my money invested into anything Disney.

Disneyland hotel.. why you gotta be so expensive?!?!

Isn`t the first weekend in Dec when they have the Candlelight Procession. If so, you`d be lucky to find the cheaper Disneyland Hotel rooms available, only the more expensive ones will be left. If I had to pick one hotel to stay in for one night, I would take the Grand Californian, but one night may not be worth paying all that money for the limited time you would be there. Check in is at 3pm and check out is 11am the next morning.
Also, if that is the day of the Candlelight Processional, DL will be closing early , You`ll need to buy an event ticket to get back in
