My family rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad one time when it broke down inside a dark tunnel. To add to the drama, it appeared and felt like we were ointed almost straight up at the tunnel opening. i thought it was a cool opportunity to get a great look at the details of how the tunnels look insede. One of the members o y family was bored still, another was nervous and edgy, while a third was screaming in pure terror.
Everybody in our train played it safe and remained safely secured in our seats, even though it seemed like forever before help showed up. Mangement ended up giving us each special passes that permited us to walk straight on rides the rest of the day. Boy, did we ever have the time of our lives.
Now if we had broken down upside down in the Screamin' loop at DCA, it would have been ugly. I would have screamed my lungs out, and it wouldn't be very pretty beneath me either. In fact, I'm probably going to give my selve a nightmare onight, just thinking about it.
