I agree with this 100%! However, will Disney bring back the golden horseshoe revue? Not likely. I like the Billy's in the horseshoe because it is a more intimate setting. If they had them at a smaller location like somewhere by Rancho De Zocala, it would be ideal, but I'd rather have them in the horseshoe than BTRJ where they seem like they have to beg people to come watch them.

Oh, I don't mean keep them up at BTRJ, but rather- on the boardwalk of Frontierland, or REALLY return them to the their roots and put them back in Critter Country.

Great. But I do have to warn you that they are constantly changing things around up there. They had them there a couple of weeks ago but you never know. Have a back up plan just in case :blush:

Two questions, does the "Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree" serve food and/or drinks? It's not the same place as the Big Thunder Ranch Barbeque is it?

Also how as attendance been at this new location?

The Bar-B-Que is next door to the Jamboree. Not much in the way of food at the Jamboree - I've seen hots dogs, and cotton candy.

The latest I've heard (and it keeps changing so we must be fluid here) is that the Billys will be at Jamboree 7 days a week through the end of the year (this came from a Billy who realized he was probably talking out of turn and said maybe he shouldn't have said anything LOL). The Laughing Stock will be 7 days a week inside GH until the end of the year. I really don't know what they were thinking when they did this but it certainly isn't working the way they thought it would. They make announcements on Main Street telling people where the Billys are. Even at the end of the Laughing Stock show the "mayor" tells people to "now go see our friends the Billys up at Big Thunder Jamboree". It is never crowded in the GH anymore and there is a lower crowd at the counter ordering food (though I've been told by someone in Laughing Stock who shall remain nameless that food sales are exactly the same as when the Billys were in there. Somehow I find this hard to believe from my observations). The crowds are less up at Big Thunder Jamboree because the area is too far for some people to walk to, way too big and it is less intimate than the GH. I do enjoy the characters up there especially the Country Bears and Chip N Dale. They are really into having fun with the audience and there is good by play between them and the Billys.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Billys not showing on the calendar in September. This kind of thing happens all the time.

I'm taking my son and a few friends to the park for his birthday in mid September. I had planned to take them to lunch at the Horseshoe, figuring it would be good for them to be entertained while they eat. (Better than me trying to keep them happy!) Looks like the Billy's won't be back by then. Can anyone confirm if the Laughing Stock shows are inside right now, or are they out front and nothing is inside? I might consider taking the kids to Laughing Stock if if it's inside. Or, I saw a picture showing a food cart at the Jamboree. Anyone know what the choices are?

Latest word is to look for the Billies to return to the Horseshoe after Christmas.

Since the current schedule doesn't show any entertainment in the GH in Sept. I feel like there's still hope for the Billies to be back there.

I think the laughing stock is underrated, and belong at the horseshoe. But it would be great though if they could create at least one more bit for the act.

The laughing stock was truly outstanding when it was outside. When they went inside, it is cheesy and even unprofessional. Very sad and not sure why it's quality went down.

Billy Hill and the Hill Billies have always been fabulous wherever they go but back in BTR (or Festival of Fools area or...Jamboree as they say), the stage is too large for that 4 person group, they are too far away from the audience and too many distractions with other stuff going on. They are trying very hard but it must be depressing when you get little feedback.

They were also oustanding outstide because of their interactive show but the GH is the best spot for them. Maybe a couple of outside shows mixed wiht inside?

Put the Laughing Stock back outside where they were wonderfully entertaining and got a large audience.

My kids love the new venue due to the coloring (for my 5 year old), rope games, and characters. Plus lead Billy Kirek is fantastic at the end of the show when he starts wandering through the crowd. So not all bad. Was there yesterday, however, and the characters had disappeared. I asked if it was because of the heat and was told that they had been dispersed to other parts of BTR where they'd be more of a draw.

I miss the Billys and have always had fun watching them at the Golden Horshoe. Can't knock the prosteethus!

As for the schedule on the website - they usually don't post times for the billy's or the laughing stock shows until closer to the actual calendar date.

One of the great things about the show is the intimate setting that the GH provides.

They seem to like it outside from what I've heard them say. There's more room for them.

Dunno about the rest of the band but Kirk prefers the stage of the GH.
