  • [Fun] A Painting I did of my favorite Disneyland attraction

I completely forgot I painted this back in 2008 for practice. I used water colors on.... I forgot what lb. of paper. This was for an art class I was taking and was a small project I worked on for about 30 minutes, I think. I looked at a photo the instructor had and I thought it was very fitting since it is my absolute favorite ride at Disney. Thought I'd share

Looks fantasmic! Is that water color paint you used? It really gives it a neat look.

Nice. I luv water colors. The act of painting with them and the fluid movemnt that you can "freeze" into the paper (I used to use a blow dryer) is so gratifying. Even mounting the paper and wetting it down on a board is fun!

Thanks! I should probably find the painting first, lol. It's somewhere around. I haven't lost it, though.

There are so many great water color techniques. It is a lot of fun and interesting to try and control.

Ah yes, I see it too. That was not intentional ; )

I've been doing a lot of digital art lately. I still love painting once in a while, but it's not Disney stuff that I paint. The Splash Mt. photo just happened to me in the collection of my instructor's photos and I went with that.

Painting is one of those things I've always wanted to do in life but I'm afraid to though because I don't think I have the patience. If I could paint something like that in 30 minutes or less I would do it in a heartbeat!

There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

I'm not the most patient person but I make it work. I go through several emotions when I paint, lol. Usually it's "Okay, this looks good... hmm, ooh, I like how that looks. Ugh... This is terrible! It's not looking the way I want it to! Oh, wait, that's awesome." Ultimately I do enjoy painting
