  • [Question] Power Wheelchair on rides?

    Hi all,

We are heading to DLR next month for the first time in a couple of years (so excited!). My daughter has CP and uses a wheelchair. In the past she has had a manual chair (that we would push). She would ride the rides with wheelchair vehicles (The Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear, Small World, etc) in her chair. Last year she upgraded to a power chair in order to gain more independence. I am wondering if those ride vehicles can accommodate power chairs. It isn't a scooter, it is an actual chair, but is much heavier than her other one.

    Thanks!

I've seen many people ride in power wheel chairs it doesn't seem to make a difference, but stop by wheel chair rentals and have a cast member ok the chair can go on the rides before you enter the park, just in case, though i've seen power chairs on jungle cruise and small world.

Most attractions that can accommodate a wheelchair can also accommodate a powered one as well. If not, they usually have a spare wheelchair at the attraction you can use to transfer over if the guest is comfortable in doing so. In any case, it'll be best to ask a CM at the wheelchair rental location or city hall as Coolwowzer suggested.
