  • [Question] Church of Walt?

Hi, I found this reference on that list of acronyms that someone so conveniently provided me on an earlier post, but when I search threads I can't seem to find anything on it. I am going to be in DLR (oooooh, I used an acronym!!) October 14, 15, and 16 and was wondering if any of you awesome folks still really do meet in the Hub on Sundays and also if it's open to anyone on this board. Would love to make some new friends in person!
I wish I had a cool signature to insert here, but I don't.

By the way, you pronounce "DLR" as "D'lurr," not "dee-ell-arr." Common mistake a lot of people make.

Church of Walt is essentially the meets, they were referred to as the "Church of Walt" in the early years of the site. It's not an official Church or anything, it's just our normal Sunday meets.

So to answer your question, yes, there is a meet every Sunday at noon in the Hub near the Goofy Statue. (To the left of the Partners Statue if you are looking at the castle).

I've never said either. I still say dee-land.

Didn't COW come from one of those rare early-morning meets? But definitely, yes, it's a Sunday ritual. All you have to do is show up! :ap:

^ I think it may have been the sunrise meet but I'm not 100% sure.

                  I don't think I understand the difference/point.

I still wear my COW shirt from time to time. I always get some reaction from visitors, not always positive, but reactions none the less.

It's a way of distinguishing the true believers from the great unwashed. Kinda like the whole Trekkie/Trekker thing.
