    Re: Disneyland apps ?

Disney Mobile Magic. It's the official one and has access to wait times and Fast Pass ticket times if your GPS locates you in the park. It also can help make restaurant reservations, has the next showtime for entertainment offerings, and gives you character locations for meet and greets.

Mobile Magic is the "official" Disney app, but Mousewait seems to have better quick look functionality to it and is, for the most part, accurate. Most of the apps are free though, so just download them and play around with them a little bit. Mobile Magic will only give you actual wait times when your GPS locates you in the parks though.

Nothing lame about that... I live an ocean away and have those very apps on my Android phone, plus Lines. All great apps to help plan our trip to DLR in mid-September. Can't wait to get there!

                Re: Disneyland apps ?

Definitely download the Mousewait app. Another app I used last time I was there was "Disneyland Inside Out". It seemed accurate with wait times.

Also, the official Disney Mobile Magic app is not compatible with all Android phones. The newer phones like the HTC One X and Gallaxy S III won't install it. Hopefully Disney updates the app to work on the latest generation of Android phones.

MouseWait is good in terms of the line times. I would stay away from the forum section though, people tend not to be too kind.

                    Re: Disneyland apps ?

I use MouseWait, but being a Canadian citizen there's practically no use for them since Data costs me 60 cents every 10 seconds.

                      Re: Disneyland apps ?

Disneyland Lines, hands down is the best to the point on rides.
They don't work on the "posted times" (they'll take them, but you'll find that Posted Times are almost never correct, as Disney uses them to "persuade" crowds around (known as "stacking"...).

It does require a (fairly cheap and well worth it) subscription to Disney World | Disneyland - Vacation Planning Tools...

This is the app written by the team behind "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland". It's based on real computer data from many years.

Many times when I talk about it I get people who say "it's not correct the sign says it's a 30 minute wait, and the app says 12 minutes...." It's got an awesome feature... a stopwatch, I find it's always correct (within a minute or two). Tap it to start when you enter the line, and tap just as you are about to get on the ride (you can then submit this data to the master computer to store).

Basically the other apps work on submitted POSTED wait times, this apps works on a database filled with REAL wait times and the computer can give an estimate based on crowd levels, day/time of year, how big the convention is next door, data they've pulled for well over a decade.)

It's interface isn't the coolest, but it's quick to load, and gets the job done.

The Disneyland app is pretty good, and Mousewait isn't bad as well. The only thing I don't like about Mousewait is that it seems "crowded" to me. No pun intended.
