  • [Idea] Epic Mickey Halloween Overlay

I thoroughly enjoyed the Epic Mickey game. The story really caters to the Disney Fan. The look and feel of the Wasteland is a perfect fit for a Disney Halloween Overlay. Its has the creepy vibe in each of the worlds, but not enough to scare the kiddies.

It can be the entire park or just some areas like matterhorn can be converted to Mickey Junk Mountain by including large replicas of old mickey mouse products in and around the Mountain.

Light projections can be used to simulate paint thinner and paint on the walls of mainstreet. Oswald can finally make an appearance alongside mickey both looking like themselves in the game during a parade or using the Fantasmic stage in Rivers of America

Disneyland can have their first walking "monsters" in the park, using the enemies and altered characters in the game. "of course they won't go scaring little kids, their just their for the atmosphere. The Mad Doctor can make his first appearance (I think) as a costumed character.

If the whole parks idea is a little too much then at least they can probably keep it in Toontown. Give it that same twisted look in the game and have classic disney characters come out. of course also have those light projections to simulate paint and paint thinner.

Since the Second game and a handheld version is coming out Disney has the perfect opportunity to promote the game, and also add a whole new overlay during the Halloween Celebration.

    Re: Epic Mickey Halloween Overlay

Having an Epic Mickey overlay somewhere is a really neat idea. I wouldn't do it for a whole park, but on a ride or in one area would be neat.

I haven't played Epic Mickey but if there's anything in DCA that is reminiscent of anything in the game, that could be a great fit. That's kind of Oswald's unofficial "home" in California, and most of the areas (as of yet) don't have any preconceived Halloween decorations people have come to expect.

I like the idea, but I would only do it in Toontown. Problem is projections would be out since it closes at 8:30.

I would have no problem with them doing it in the whole park, but more realistically I could see it as a fun nighttime separate-ticket event at DCA in addition to the Halloween Party. On nights when they don't have the Halloween Party at DL they could have the Epic Mickey thing at DCA, and vise-versa.

Problem with that is guest are already upset about needing to buy a extra ticket for the MHP , if done in DCA on alternate nights would be for lack of a better word, pissing people off lol. It does make me laugh though when gsts call up to complain about MHP needing an exra ticket or when the park closes early during the holidays to allow CMs a chance to go to the park all by themselves. I love kids i truly do but on those holiday nights there are like 20 strollers TOPS in the park, its AWESOME lol
