  • December 31, 2005/January 1, 2006 trip report

For anyone who's interested, I've posted a trip report of our New Year's Eve spent at Disneyland. A full day (from park opening to park closing) and a little time spent on New Year's Day as well. New Year's Eve is cloudy, windy and rainy at times, but as in all Disney stories, the tale ends happily ever after. Also includes pictures of new Valentine's Day merchandise, and horses can celebrate birthdays too!

    Here's the link: http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlr/dlr123105tr.html.

    Thanks!

Did I read that right? No more nachos at the Rancho?
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Rancho got rid of more then half of their menu about a month ago. It's very sad since I loved their "Chipotle Shrimp mash potatoes."

Maybe they will bring it back when the crowds lower. It could be they shrank the menu to keep the line moving during the holiday rush.

Hahaha! The birthday stickers on the horse were hilarious.

Although, I think the CM meant "Disneyland horses" instead of the horse world in general, as my mother and I always celebrate our horses' birthdays the day of (but they get extra carrots...not birthday stickers on their butt). Then again, we could just be considered strange

Don't know whether the CM's info was accurate, but he was definitely not talking just about Disneyland horses because he was talking about race horses and the qualifications for what horses can run in which races depending on their age. I don't know anything about horses, though, so don't know if that's completely true.
