[Rumor] Big changes to Tomorrowland soon to be announced? Tracks being replaced?

Was just on the red car trolley today and as I was talking to my cousin and younger brother I just happened to hear one of the castmembers on board talking about how big changes are going to be made in tomorrowland and that announcements may be coming soon. I also heard him mentioning something about plans for tracks getting replaced there but I don't know for what. Could it be the peoplemover? Also he said something about removals in tomorrowland. I wonder if its innoventions? Anyways just like to share. I wished I was able to listen to him more closely so I can get some more information. I would like to give his name out but I am not sure its a wise decision.

Most "rumors" that come from CM's are just speculation similar to the speculation we here have about the parks. CM's are usually the very last to hear about anything (even sometimes after its on the web). This CM might also be a member of Micechat since some CM's are members (that would mean rumors from Al/ other insiders would be feeding through the CM's back into Micechat to feed even more rumors). I treat most CM information as a small grain of salt in most cases.

I understand that castmember info isn't really a reliable source but its cool just to share what castmembers say anyways. Though if this somehow manages to be true what do you guys think about new tracks? could it be plans for something like a peoplemover? If only I could see into what lies ahead for Disneyland.

I believe Tony Baxter announced at a conference last week that the Peoplemover would not be coming back.

The info might mean removing the current tracks. That sounds more likely than new tracks built in Tomorrowland.

It's possible the CM is just quoting info he got off this website or others like it and has no real "inside" info). For example, we already knew from Al that changes are most likely coming to Tomorowland soon, and if you didn't here what they were saying regarding track replacement they could of been talking about Big Thunder, since I believe track replacement is one of the primary objectives of its extended refurbishment.

I believe Tony Baxter announced at a conference last week that the Peoplemover would not be coming back.

It was announced years ago that the People Mover would not be coming back. It's safe to guess that Tomorrowland will be the next area of improvement on Disney's radar.

If they can removed Autopia and Innoventions, thats ALOT of real estate to put something pretty spectacular. Probably Marvel.

However Autopia serves as the roof of the show building for the submarines. Autopia, Submarines and the Monorail are all closely weaved together. This is why I believe Autopia has survived and will continue to survive (hopefully they will upgrade it.) I sure hope that k_peek_2000 is correct because Tomorrowland has sat pretty much stagnant for the last decade+ since project T98.

I could see the PeopleMover track being removed, and Innoventions either beiing reused or demolished completly. Autopia being removed is unlikely due to it being on top of the show building for the subs.

Whatever comes to TomorrowLand, hopefully it will heal the wounds left by TL98.

I hope autopia stays but gets a major refurb and update. It really needs electric cars in my opinion.

Somewhat related, perhaps, if not, sorry. I was in Innoventions a couple of weeks ago. I asked a cast member about rumors I heard about Innoventions leaving. He denied any knowledge of this (which isn't odd, in and of itself) but then he asked me who told me, and specifically if it was a cast member. I told him accurately that I heard it on the internet. Then, he asked me if any cast members told me anything about Innoventions leaving would I tell him who told me. I found that odd, since it seemed like it was a much bigger deal to tell a guest anything than I've ever seen before.

Does this mean anything? I have no idea. But I wonder if there is something big coming up that I hope we'll hear about soon.

Sounds to me like the company may be trying to crack down on cm's spreading rumors.
