This coming June marks the 50th anniversary of one of Walt Disney's greatest achievments, Audio-Animatronics. The ENchanted Tiki Room will hit 50, WOW. That is crazy and I'm so proud of all It has accomplished. My only concern is will Disneyland do anything for this monumentous occasion? I surely hope so. This is not just the anniversary of theenchanted tiki room but it is also the anniversary of the birth of A-A's. This changed th face of Disneyland and put it dead on the map with pirates, haunted MAnsion, Small world etc. It has helped shape and mold Disneyland into what we have seen over the last 50 years. Disney cannot overlook this and need to do something worthy of such a milestone, maybe a thorough rehab or perhaps something bigger, what do u all think?

You know, you're right about this being what separates Disney from the rest, IMHO. Hopefully they'll celebrate by creating a new, big audio-animatronic attraction which is on par size-wise with Pirates or Haunted Mansion.http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...oto-heavy.html

I would like to see a nice refurbishment. Maybe a re-dedication and some merchandise.

I was there the day (the day after my birthday) that the Matterhorn (first tubular steel roller coaster ever built), Monorail (first monorail system in the western hemisphere), and Submarine Voyage (the then 8th largest submarine fleet in the world) turned 50. There was 0 merch, 0 announcements, and 0 employees that even knew it was the 50th anniversary at any of the attractions. Anyone getting their hopes up should understand that with a park as old as Disneyland, there are so many anniversaries that it's unlikely that Disney is going to recognize 90% of them... No matter how important.
