  • New Fantasyland Attractions

I think it is time that new attractions are added to Fantasyland.
Here is my favorite suggestion to get things started! Please reply with your attarction and where it should be situated in DL.

"Cruise Under The Sea" is a flume ride that takes visitors on a journey with Ariel and her friends. The attraction can tell the story of the original 'Mermaid' movie along with the music. Urusla, King Trinton and of course Prince Eric would be present. This attraction can be built on the border of Fantasyland and Frontierland....where the old skyway station was.

Sadly there is no room at that location. It's a good illusion of an empty spot, but the fantasyland theater is directly behind it. How about the old motor boat cruise area? Additionally, while the flume sounds amusing, I'd like to see some new technology employed, as DL already has a good flume ride

Since we're playing armchair imagineer... I say you put in some sort of Rescuers attraction in the old motor boat cruise (you know, guests board a big leaf with a dragonfly attached and cruise around and see the sights). Then bulldoze the fantasyland theater and put another attraction in it's place. Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, 101 Dalmatians (think of all those cute AA puppies) and The Little Mermaid come to mind.

    Just a thought.

There is room..the skyway station was near Casey Jr. and there is adjoining land in Frontierland. The Skyway was around when the Theatre was built.

I work back in that area. Not to be contradictory, but there really isn't room. Sowwy

Well then I think the attraction could fit across from the Matterhorn near the Sub Lagoon.....possible?

The Rescuers or 101 Dalmations sounds like a good thing to put in Fantastyland, that period tends to be ignored. Either it's the original classic films like Snow Whjite or Peter Pan because that was when the park was built, or it's the newer ones like the Little Mermaid or something, but still they get no attractions, probably from lack of room. The Little Mermaid was so popular, why not ive it an attraction...

I think Autopia occupies most of that area which is on top of the sub showroom. I may be wrong, I am less familiar with that area.

Hey guys, this is a thread i started a few days ago talking about possibly adding four dark rides to FL and what those rides might be. we can just move the conversation to this thread, but I was just curious about you thoughts: http://micechat.com/showthread.php?t=1470

Also, check out the "Adventureland's Awsome Additions" thread. It is basically a continuation of the FL thread, but focusing on AL instead.
Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.

How about a Beauty and the Beast dark-ride attraction?

I think they should re-install the Skyway.

                        Re: New Fantasyland Attractions

Skyway should be a FairyTale Cottage. Different characters tell a story ala Storytime with Aladdin and Jasmine at Aladdin's Oasis. The Skyway station up there has a nice view of Fantasyland. And there's not much else you can do, except for a storytime and meet n greet.

Just enclose Fantasyland Theater and put good productions in.

Expand the Matterhorn queue like they did with Jungle Cruise.

I've got a good Beauty and the Beast classic dark ride plan (maybe for 2011?). This could go on the south side of Small World Mall and north of Matterhorn:

You queue through Belle's house. When your in the basement, you hop on hop Marcie's steam powered vehicle. The engine is in the back. (1) Then you stroll through the town with "Belle" song like in the movie. (2) Then you stroll through the countryside like Marcie did going to the fair (with the music to match, too). (3) Then you're in the dead pathway strolling through. (4) You come to a Y-intersection. Looking at a sign with markings on it. One path leads to a dead pathway like you're on, the other path is dark and mysterious. Bats fly out and scare you to the dark path. (5) Strolling through this dark path, hungry wolves emerge from the woods on your left and right. You dodge and escape their teeth going through a castle door. (6) You stroll around the halls. Lumiere and Cogsworth are on a table to your left. The hallway is similar to the West Wing hallway from the movie. You come up to a door with the lion head and horns. Doors opens up. (7) In front of you, you see the ripped painting of the Prince. Turn a corner and approach a floating flower in a glass case. You go closer wanting to touch the flower. The dark image next to it moves. It's the beast! It growls at you. You turn away through another hallway. (8) In this hall, gargoyle statues and wall carvings are present. Along with armored knights to your left and right. As you pass them, their heads turn to look at you. You go through a door. (9) The Enchanted character cast sings the "Be Our Guest" number. After this exciting room, you go outside. (10) It's a snowy day for the Beast, Belle, and Enchanted characters. "Something There" plays along. (11) Belle and Beast raise their bowls to each other. "Something There" transitions to (12) a small melody of "Beauty and the Beast" for Belle and Beast dance in the ball room. (13) At the front entrance, Gaston and the mob barge in to "Kill the Beast" (although I think this is called "The Mob Song"). (14) We're on the balcony as Gaston stabs Beast. Belle catches Beast leaving Gaston to his falling death. Before we leave this room, Belle says "I love you, Beast". (15) Beast is midair as Belle lies on the ground. Beast turns, his cape block our view, and he becomes human again. (16) Prince and Belle dance as others look on. THE END. Riders step off the steam powered vehicle and exit. The exit is either themed as Belle's basement door or a forest.

I think that's a little too much show scenes. But it could be redudced. I think my problem is the "Something There" section.

                        What do you think?

How about an ORIGINAL ride along the lines of Maelstrom. NOT A COPY, but something that could be based on trolls, wizards, and imgainable monsters.

I was thinking of a Sinbad or Hercules/ Odyssey ride with the Maelstrom ride tech.

DL needs Hercules, 101 Dalmations, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid (I thought about the area where the subs were, but Nemo is going there now), Hunchback of Notre Dame and Sleeping Beauty rides.

:ap: You know, just have every cartoon have their own ride. I wish...
