I am a huge fan of Glow with the Show becoming apart of the parks, i like the cars land feel, if they could incorporate them into the rides would be awesome, like the haunted Mansion they would be lit like the candles flickering and would turn off remotely when the elevator blacks out to reveal the Hanging man. Then in the portrait hall they would flash with the lightning and then turn off as soon as you start making your way to the Doombuggys and not come back on till the exit Turnstiles. Of course the Ears should be programmed to go dark one inside the dark rides and rides where the ears do not seem fit. But Its a Small World could match colors to the ride and work with the music. Though the ears will have to be taken off on Space and Big Thunder, I also still think they should turn the ears off inside of the attractions. That way little tommy who forgets his lights are on doesn't ruin the effects with light pollution. I know the Hats are a bit of a distraction when it comes to world of color and what not, but i still see potential in the Hats in Queues that could have the hats work in there favor. Its a Small World, the Mad Teacups, even Dumbo would have good use for the hats on the rides. The hats could work in the Queue of Buzz, even the indoor Queue section of Space (provided that the hats would be removed before boarding), and Haunted Mansion as I said above. But places like Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, and Star Tours would have no reason for Hat incorporation whatsoever and should be discouraged by the remotely Turning off of the hats so that once again forgetful little Tommy can wear his hat in the Queue but the hat will not be glowing or drawing attention in anyway away from where it should be. What do you think, should Glow with the Park be a better name?

Re: Glow with the Show or Glow with the Park?
I don't know if it would make a better name, but I agree with you that I'd love to see them incorporated into the entire resort. Especially the queues, with the "turn off" feature inside the dark rides. I had discussed this with my group of friends that went to the park shortly after the ears were introduced... we agreed that they were fun, but in order for us to intentionally bring them back to the park, they needed to do more than just interact with a couple of shows.
I doubt this would ever happen, but it would be fun to have the ears become part of the show inside Trader Sam's.proud member of Rally team It Doesn't Matterhorn, winners of the 2012 Team Spirit award

Re: Glow with the Show or Glow with the Park?
Like I said in another thread, my opinion is that this is only a small fad and will phased out by the end of the year. It's very cool to see in action, but the average guests just aren't interested in purchasing the ears and don't understand the purpose behind them. It will be fun while it lasts... not very long though.

Re: Glow with the Show or Glow with the Park?
They certainly have their place in the shows and atmosphere areas. I know that the team responsible for the GWTS system have put in a ton of time and money to make the system work. and adding glow over the entire park would be super hard. I just wish the print pattern on the outside of the hats was not so hideous. The psychedelic mickeys are pretty silly looking. Also uncontrolled glowing hats and merchandise in dark rides are very distracting and should be left dark or out all together. Just my opinion.

Re: Glow with the Show or Glow with the Park?
I'm not a Mickey ears hat person but I like what these hats do. If they sold other items that did the same thing then I'm in. I would be happy to purchase a couple of 2 inch or 3 inch wide wrist bands for example (one for each wrist) and wear them around the parks to see them interact with something I happened to walk by or to an attraction."Anything's possible at Disneyland." - Walt Disney, 1965
