[Chat] Have you ever Disneyed yourself out?

Hello Everyone!

I have been absolutely been geeking out on Disney ever since I found out that my future mother in law is sending my fiance and I to Disneyland after our wedding is less then two months! EEEEP! Dream come true!! (Is it bad that part of me is more excited about Disneyland then the actual wedding? Just being able to share something I love with someone I love...it's a bit mind blowing.)

So for three days straight I called and made reservations to various places throughout DLR. I also put together a youtube playlist of a "musical tour through Disneyland"- Musical Tour of Disneyland Playlist - YouTube (I was looking for a playlist that had some sort of order- as if I was walking through the park myself. Thus- this playlist was born. It starts from the even before you enter the gates, down mainstreet and then heads into adventureland, new orleans square, critter country, frontierland, fantasyland, toontown and then tomorrowland. It also takes in a parade, fantasmic, and a couple fireworks shows.)

I'm popping on to watch Hojo's webcam and even made a facebook list to keep tabs on any Disney news- Log In | Facebook.

So....I'm afraid that I'm going to Disney myself out before I even get to Disneyland. Do you think this is even possible? Has it ever happened to you?

Trav- I think it will just help me enjoy things about Disneyland that I never have before. I'll be able to focus on some of the wonderful details that are often missed if you don't go often. Being from Colorado- we don't get out there much. And my fiance hasn't been since he was 5. So I'm awfully excited about sharing Disneyland with him.

Trav, I always thought if I lived nearby- I could easily go to the park just to pick a place and read...just to soak in some Disney magic. Have you ever done anything like that?

I went through a period of time as a teenager where I lost interest in Disney but I was always down to go to Disneyland if I was in CA visiting my family. Ever since my trip in 2008 I have been a total Disney geek.

IT can happen to me if I go to the parks like 4 times in a month....but in general if I go once a month..its enough time for me wanting to back especially with Carsland and Buena Vistas Street opening and both area's are for me two of my new favorite area's in the parks...in fact going tommorrow and I can't wait

I've been to disneyland a little over 1000 times and Im still super excited to go this weekend.

Sometimes I listen to Disney music for hours on end. Then I get tired of it but once I take a break for about a half hour, I am fine.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I do get "Disneyed" out periodically-- but the love always returns as strong as ever.

I have Disneyed myself out. (movies, books, web, photos, etc..)

But I have never Disneyland(ed) myself out. Even going all day for 15 days straight couldn't do it. There is just something magical in that experience that keeps it from happening.

After having APs for four years in a row I had begun noticing flaws more than what was impressive. So we took a two-year break (except for a satisfying visit to the Halloween party.) Now we're back with APs and liking it as much as ever.

Taking a toddler made me appreciate it more than ever & in new ways, and now that my kid is seven, I LOVE things like the afternoon dance party for kids in DCA on stage 17. I would have thought that was awful if I weren't with a girl who was having the time of her life dancing with an aristocat.

Won't be going until Silvers can get their relatives in to DCA at its opening time.

I go once every 3-4 months due to living only a 2 hour drive from Disneyland. It's enough to have the whole park memorize, but not often enough to get Disneyed out. The closest I get to feeling Disneyed out is feeling tired and ready to go home at the end of the day. The second I'm on the freeway the "oh no I'm not coming back for several months" feeling sets in. Unfortunately I might end up temporarily relocating to Georgia for work so I might not renew my AP next year.

Eh. Debatable.

There is a member of this board (so sorry I can't remember your username right now!) but they have the best signature of anyone here. It's a quote and it simply says:

"Disneyland was meant to be sipped, not chug-a-lugged."

It's very possible to "Disney" yourself out, and I feel like I "chug-a-lugged." I haven't been frequenting the Resort as much as I used to. It lost that "feel" that you get when you're there. I'm sure it will come back, but I'm taking a break before I over-do it even more.

I just looked at your playist. That is quite impressive!! This is just what I would do I think if I wasn't already going every week. I love taking virtual tours through the park and putting myself there in my mind. So no, I don't think you're in any danger of doing too much. It may be too much for your fiance, but I don't think that will be the case for you.

DisneylandReport- Thank goodness I haven't exposed my fiance to it at all! LOL! I really want him to enjoy himself. It was on my "must-have list" when I was dating. So he knows how important it is to me.

Nope, never, even when I worked at the Blue Bayou. I usually go easy so I won't get too Disneyed, maybe pacing our visits to once a month. Our daughter would like it if we go every week though, but I mention to her that we would miss out on Carpinteria, the local library, the Santa Barbara and San Diego Zoos, parks and visiting friends and relatives. So, the once a month visit is just right.

I used to go at least 4 times, this is my 4th straight year with a Premium AP, I havent been to disneyland in 2 months and have only been there 1 time this summer, maybe 5 times all year.... I feel I tend to look at things differently now, I used to walk around taking everything in at a leisurely pace, now I go to the park and cant help but get irritated when people in front of me are walking so slow looking around while i'm trying to get to my destination as fast as possible... Now that I'm typing this I wish I was at the park right now...

I have definitely never disneyed myself out. I'm always hungry for more Disney. I shove princesses into my mouth by the handful.

I Disneyed myself out. Worked at the park in late 2007 through the spring of 2008. My girlfriend at the time also worked there and we carpooled a lot--even when our shifts didn't match up. So if she had to be at work earlier than me I'd go play in the park for a few hours, or vice-versa if my shift ended before her's did.

Suffice to say I got my Disneyland fill and then some haha. Not that it was a bad thing, but admittedly I haven't returned to the park since April of 2008. I visited one last time to view Fantasmic! for what was probably around my 60th viewing.

I'm not sure when I'll get my itch to visit again. I have talked to my sister about taking my nephew when/if I ever return to So Cal, but that's really here nor there. I kind of feel that I ruined the magic of Disneyland by not only working there and seeing all the behind the scenes stuff, but by also visiting as a guest nearly every day for close to six months.

So yeah, I think it's safe to say that it was too much of a good thing, lol.
